Home Affairs Minister Davies Mwila has urged the Police Service to design and implement action oriented measure to deal with political violence that may be created during the 2016 August 11 General Elections.

Mr. Mwila said the police should deal with perpetrators of political violence equally and accordingly regardless of political affiliation.

The Minister said this in Lusaka today during the Commanders’ Conference which is held annually to plan for the year

He also presented 180 Trucks and Vans to the Service which will be distributed across the country.

And Police Inspector General, Kakoma Kanganja said this years Conference is a special one as it will mainly focuses on how the Service will police General elections.

Mr. Kanganja has since thanked the government for 180 trucks and vans to help the Police Service Manage the 2016 elections.

He further directed his Commanders to work with all stakeholders during the election and ensure that they act professionally and use common sense in executing their duties.

  1. Feeling the winds of change? Deal with perpetrators EQUALLY – arrest Davies Chama if gets excited with his gun again.

    • Davies Mwila, you should also explain why PF cadres can freely march in Lusaka without a permit while disrupting traffic and business

    • I hope these truck wont be used to ferry cadres from one polling station to another to facilitate multiple voting.

I urge the opposition parties to take pictures and record the announcement of actual results after counting and post them on internet as evidence to avoid the scum that was uncovered too late during the 2015 elections. Each major polling station to have at least 50 strong monitors to watch closely and seal all the loopholes for rigging.

    • What’s the update on those that beat journalists in Chipata and one even had piss directed into his mouth after the beating?

  2. please commanders start with PF criminals especially those who were released from prisons. Keep your eyes on them, they are so backwards in the way they behave

    • Most of the cadres manning and terrorizing markets and bus stops are former.jailbirds , crooks and criminals.

They jump onto each ruling party to steal in broad daylight.

An elderly gentleman at Soweto market told me that Lusaka criminals have now switched to being hitmen of PF to ensure they earn a nice living plundering helpless citizens without risking jail.

These are the criminals who masquerade as cadres, maiming, robbing.and.harming.people on Chan’s and orders. How will policy arrest agents of.their commander in chief?

  3. Uncivilized PF cadres-sponsored by Mpulungu MP Freedom Sikazwe have stripped naked two UPND women in Mpulungu town. The innocent victims were wearing their party regalia when the PF thugs attacked them. Northern Province police commissioner Bonny Kapesa told Kasama’s Mano FM that the UPND women were undressed last weekend. Kapeso said the PF cadres who committed the crime have been arrested although some PF minions are putting pressure on the police to release the cadres without any charge.
However Kapeso said PF cadres will not be allowed to instil fear in members of the public in the run up to the 2016 general elections.

But Sikazwe has accused Kapeso of being unprofessional by exposing PF cadres who stripped naked the two UPND women in his constituency.
    Sikazwe who doubles as PF…

  4. But Sikazwe has accused Kapeso of being unprofessional by exposing PF cadres who stripped naked the two UPND women in his constituency. Sikazwe who doubles as PF MP and Northern Province Minister has threatened Kapeso with ‘serious’ action if he continues to speak ill of the PF government. He warned Kapeso must to stop scandalising the ruling party even though the police have proof of the UPND women being stripped naked in public.

  5. Bravo Kapeso. These are the police officers who will save the country and not the rubbish we have in Chipata. Journalists were abused, maimed, etc and yet the Commanding Officer is scared to arrest the culprits. Fairness must prevail as the country belongs to all regardless of political affiliation.

  6. Kanganja Kakoma is I.G specifically appointed for elections. It is foolish how frequently he keeps reference to elections every time he opens his mouth. Shame.

  7. Well and good but I am wondering why the I.G is thanking government for equipment which is supposed to be a given. I have noticed a lot of this in Zambia. People make it look like the government is doing us a favour by supplying these things when its our money. They have to buy the police vehicles we pay tax so that they do exactly that. Anyway I had nothing to complain about today!!!!

  8. I feel pity for the Hon. Davies Mwila. How many directives has he given to the police. 1 Clear off wrecked vehicles at all police stations, 2 Stop asking for money from members of the public who come to police stations with complaints, no fuel, no stationery no man power no transport etc. 3. No more Road Blocks etc. But the cops have continued doing what they know better. Even the few trucks and vans they have received from GRZ will not solve the transport problems they are facing today. Just wait and see. The Top brass will share first among themselves and some trucks will be assigned to ferrying building materials etc. and then the old vehicles will be distributed to the remote commands. Meanwhile life for the low rank cops will be the same. Retraining of cops to implement POA. Can one…

  9. People who saying wind of change are living in utopia and comparing 2011 to 2016. What happened in 2011 was a tornado of change which was unstoppable unlike what is happening now. Currently there’s just a fresh air blowing on people who are been ferried in an open van which is moving at high speed thinking there is too much wind blowing. Kikikiki . Relax we can feel that wind. Just disembark from that van and you will feel reality

  10. @hh Techilema you have cracked my jaws. They actually in flight hh2015 with their heads sticking through the window Kikikiki and thinking heavy wind is blowing Kikikiki. Can someone remind these fulls that even fresh air can be felt like wind depending on the speed you are moving at.

    • Imagine the Mugabe catastrophic economic.meltdown and tyranny that would.be unleashed in Zambia if PF were to remain at the helm. Corruption and grand embezzlement Sani Abacha style would erupt even to dwarf Lazo FTJ plundering that shook the nation.

Give me any party even if it’s young Eric Chanda but NOT thieving PF…..

  11. rhetoric will not change things, when we begin to see equality, we will be the first ones to acknowledge it like you signed to some amendments of the constitution. as for POA, you are using it to stifle freedom of expression except for yourselves – even ZNBC and ZDM and ToZ are now totally PF

  12. Why are slave names so popular in my country? It’s Davies Chama Davies Mwila Davis so and so . Edgar fimofimo Geoffrey Katwishi. Its so embarrassing when we meet in a foreign country and all the others have their indgenous names but Zambians dont. Can’t we emancipate ourselves from mental slavery?

    • What you are asking is a very difficult question to answer. People are used to someone else emancipating them. Asking them to emancipate themselves is near impossible. If a man is left enslaved he will remain enslaved forever.

  13. Just take a close look at this very tribal & black minion davis mwila, exactly like a mongolian baboon in the thick forest! Meanwhile, we are very busy counting down m****** mwe!

  14. Use of non-psychological staff as police officers makes it difficult to have an efficient police service. Why doesn’t govt increase 6 months to make 1 year to their training to include psychology lessons to their training. Pliz do away with those lessons that teach them to steal from the public. Most police check points mounted in Mumbwa are meant to grab money from motorists found with traffic offences. No receipts are issued.
