Zambia striker Collins Mbesuma on Friday scored a brace that propelled Mpumalanga Black Aces to the top of the table and to also see him take command of the South African premier Soccer League top scorers chart.

Black Aces beat hosts Bidvest Wits 2-1 away in Johannesburg on Friday night

Mbesuma struck in the 17th and 82nd minutes in a match he played the full 90 minutes.

Black Aces move to 30 points from 14 games, one point more than their vanquished hosts and three ahead of 3rd place Mamelodi Sundowns who hosts University of Pretoria in Pretoria derby on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, Mbesuma takes his league tally of the 2015/2016 season to 10 goals, four more that Andrea Fileccia and Daine Klate of Free State Stars and Wits respectively.

    • No No No, Mbesuma should play Rugby he has grown just too fat for football. Springbok there is a left winger for you..

  1. Sad that you are trying to pick at the end of your career. If you did not over indulge in social life you could have been a star in Europe. I also note that you are being discriminated against because you are a foreigner. You were the man of the match in this game, but they gave the award to the keeper. Even last week the same was done. • Soccer fan, I also watched the game. However, I think the goal keeper deserved the award. He was very good. Without his splendid performance, The Aces would have lost by a very big margin- may be 4-2

  2. Your running mate is weight. Please shrug it off king David. I agree that this man would have gone very far had he maintained the discipline. But good lesson for the upcoming stars. Mean while congratulations.

  3. This is the league where Mayuka should come to. A small name club not Kaizer, Orlando or Mamelodi. If he can’t go to PSL, he should come back to Zed. Zamalek will just finish him off as he will spend most of his time there on the bench.
    Thumbs up to King David.
