President Edgar Lungu has directed the expulsion of party members perpetrating violence.
President Lungu says he will not condone violence in the ruling party, stating that violence if left unchecked would cost the PF, hence violent members should be dealt with accordingly.
Speaking when he addressed party members at Petauke boarding school today, President Lungu says Zambians do not want Political parties which are violent.

He says he will not support anyone who will be found wanting, but will make sure that the law takes it course.

And President Edgar Lungu says the late President Michael Sata loved the Patriotic Front (PF) hence he did not leave it to his (Sata) family.

President Lungu said the ruling party belongs to all its members regardless of which part of the country they come from.

“The PF does not belong to the Bisa or Sata family. The late President embraced us all even non-Bisa speaking people. PF belongs to you, us the people,” Mr. Lungu said.

President Lungu said if Mr. Sata wanted, he would have left the party with his son, Mulenga Sata to carry on but because he (Sata) embraced everyone, he (Mr. Lungu) has taken over.

He has since challenged party members to work hard and put aside their tribal inclinations.

He said this in Nyimba district yesterday when he addressed PF members.

Mr. Lungu has further implored party members to be hard working if they want to get positions in the party.

President Lungu gave an example of himself as a hard working person hence the
late president picked on him and elevated him in both party and government
positions.

Mr. Lungu has since challenged party members who want to aspire as councillors
and Members of Parliament (MP) to wait for the time he will dissolve parliament in May this year.

And PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri revealed that some senior party members were going round the country claiming that President Lungu had sent them and that they were the rightful and adopted candidates for 2016 elections.

Mrs. Phiri said the party had not yet started the adoption process for party members.

“Mr. President, I was here two months ago when you sent me and what l found is very disturbing,” Mrs. Phiri said.

She added that, “Some senior party members are going round claiming that they are the ones adopted by you when in fact not. The campaign period has not started.”

And President Lungu has said tribal people have left the PF and only loyal ones have remained.

Mr. Lungu, who is also PF party president, thanked the members across the country for their resilience but challenged them to recruit new members to enable the ruling party to grow.

He advised the Zambian people against voting for the opposition political parties because they do not know where the moneys are but for him who is already a tested
leader.

Meanwhile, President Lungu said no Zambian will die from hunger despite the looming shortage of maize due to the current drought.

He said this is because government was putting in place measures that ensure there is food in the country.

He said the importation of maize from Brazil is one of the measures his administration has taken to alleviate hunger in communities.

Mr. Lungu disclosed that another is where government through the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives is supplying farmers with fertilizer to the farmers across the country.

“No one will die from hunger get it from me. Government has delivered fertilizer to the needy farmers across the country but it is only the rains that have failed us,” Mr. Lungu explained.

The Head of State was speaking at Minga area in Nyimba district when
he addressed scores of people who gathered along the Great East Road
to welcome him.

He said government, through the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) in the Office of the Vice President (OVP), is keenly addressing the matter of relief food distribution with the seriousness it deserves.

“The DMMU under the OVP will address the situation of food relief distribution,” he said.

  1. He should have categorically mentioned the Ndola Airport incident. Otherwise, this is just lip service from him as usual

    • Mr Walk the Talk Edgar Lungu is all talk. No one takes him seriously. The cadres will continue with violence and Edgar will continue talking. He simply does not have what it takes to be President and be in charge.

    • He condemns violence to cover up the fact that he is the captain steering and stirring up the s.h.i.t of violence. What a hypocrite!

    • Iye aka akapuba ka Lungu…honestly how did we end up with such an ***** in Statehouse? His speeches have no substance and sometimes not even worth commenting on. Best advise to PF (as much as it pains for UPND) please do NOT allow Lungu to debate HH, try and find as many excuses to avoid debates otherwise you will cry. HH will smash him way before the Election Day. Viva UPND and HH

    • He irritates me, the guy is so dull that he can not even hit the Nail on the head?? why can’t you be specific?? mention names so that your st.upid cadres stop violence.

Vincent Mwale?? the Youngman has now fully joined PF? moved out of MMD? this As.s linking nonsense should stop.

    • This is a campaign meeting, there’s PF chitenge material on display. Things have gotten worse in the multi party system. Even during the Kaunda one party system , UNIP the powerful party never displayed unip material at a meeting addressed by the president. I once attended a meeting addressed by Kaunda in that same hall in 1978 an election year, NO UNIP material at all. WHAT HAS GONE WRONG WITH OUR POLITICS. Campaigning before official announcement but others are not allowed.

    • Oh yeah on campaign mission indeed! How can Lungu even say Sata would have left the party in the hands of his son Mulenga as if as everyone else he does not understand the parentage cloud hovering above Mulenga’s head! That would have spelled the demise of PF! Let Lungu try to hand the mantle over to Mulenga!

  2. Those undermining these trips EL is undertaking are doing so at their own peril. EL will embark on a countrywide project inspection, yes it is happening on the ground. The rural health posts, schools, roads, milling plants, universities, the constitution etc and by so doing he is actually selling himself. Being factual, he has government resources at his disposal and that is very powerful. HH’s only weapon to counter EL is the song of lowering the cost of living for Zambians which will be very difficulty. Never in the history of this country have seen such massive infrastructure development specially roads, they speak for themselves.

    • Are you suggesting that Zambians are simpletons who do not care about the cost to the economy that unplanned infrastructure development built on a massive debt house of cards? Keep shacking and jiving as the economy and all that you hold dear and sacred crumbles around you. You deserve the simple minded leadership you get.

    • I am with you on this one.

I was recently in Zed for a couple of months. There are some positive developments in Zambia. The road project is huge and very assuring.

There’s still a lot of course that needs doing, but this cannot be done in one day. Besides, government ministers must be seen to deliver in their respective ministries. There is this thing about one ministry working well while the rest become spectators.

Mr President needs courage to persuade or pressure the non-performing ministers to resign or he should relieve them of their duties and assign them to others who have a will and decency to deliver services.

    • Mr X in case you missed the story, there is a story on LT abt a a two year old boy whose dad is not able to afford to pay for his surgery for a mass he has had since he was 6 months old, if by chance you have children, put yourself in this man’s shoes and then comment on Mr Lungu’s priorities and performance

  3. So what government projects is he inspecting at Petauke school? Malabishi! All I am hearing is cheap talk. Shame on you Lungu and PF. Viva UPND, it won’t be long we will get back our damaged country

  4. How can you export maize to your neighbors at a cheaper price and import from distant Brazil at a higher cost and expect to be lauded? These guys are real jokers and it is true that they have no long term perspective in what they do!!

  5. This country has surely been cursed, look at the rains when they come its all disaster destroying and killing.Pls MR president why should we suffer because u really wanted to be at the helm of the nation. Yourself , mambilima Priscilla Isaacs and inonge including Guy Scott should surely and truthfully confess what u did in January last year otherwise your deeds will continue to haunt this nation and innocent people will perish.friendly advise.God is not happy at all.

    • Iwe Njobvu what can you say about disasters that are happening in developed countries. Do you think man has plans for those? Storms, snows etc have hit some of these developed countries. We read these stories everyday in newspapers, media and so forth. What are you saying?

  6. YOU ARE GOING EL, WE KNOW YOU ARE BEHIND ALL THIS NONSENSE.
IS THE CURRENT ZAMBIA POLICE SERVICE ALBE TO DEFEND THIS COUNTRY? NO THEY ARE COWARD WHO ARE FEARING JERABOUS.
BA KAMBWILI UBUPUBA. ALL ZNBC STAFFS ARE WORKING IN FEAR. WHAT TYPE OF DEMOCRACY IS THIS.

  7. You so called educated bloggers here are just a handful wielding no potent at all and most of you don’t even vote while EL is touching the souls of voters on the ground. Tell me, how is HH going to convince people of Isoka and Chama? They have a tar road for the first time in Zambia’s history. And who would blame them for voting PF in power come August?

    • You are wrong, we do not underestimate your !mbecility. I just wonder how are you going to convince people of Isoka and Chama to have asphalt for lunch or candle light dinner. Unfortunately for you and 1mbecoles like you, even if pf extend its “power” come August, September will see Kwacha @ 25 against dollar and bond creditors knocking at the door of Bank of Zambia.
Mr. X, I can afford to work and live legally outside Zambian borders, can you?
Remember lessons from history? No tyrant last foe ewer!!! Once he its gone, !mbeciles like you will pay the price
When you pray for “dear leader”, remember, eye for eye, tooth for tooth,…………

    • On the other hand if you are “revolutionary” (lol) instead of “religious” (lol) follower of “anointed one”, does French Revolution and Robespierre end teach anything?
Enjoy till you can, I am not going to pay any more for the folly of last four years. This time you and followers of “humble” leader will pay the price.

    • I vote in every election my friend but I can not vote for people who export maize today only to import it tomorrow. People who say lets vote the MMD out they are corrupt then ati we need MMD to attain 50 + 1. People who say Dora is the devil then get into bed with her. People who say more money in our pockets but we end up with less money. People who increase taxes today only to reduce them two weeks later. Its a long list my friend. In short we are talking about liars!!!

  8. Party cadres taking over the whole international airport and this is all Lungu can say! This is a serious security breach that borders on treason. Its only the president who can order the closure of an international airport. The police know these people and the vehicles used so why are they not arresting and charging them accordingly? If strategic places like an international airport can be taken over by party cadres then where is the commander in chief. Are we safe in this country? What will the international community think of us in terms of using our airports? This is a very serious matter that demands a serious reaction from the president and not this weak statement coming from him now.

    • Mr. Sampa is underrating Lungu hence his action. That is why we have POA. It is not right for any citizen to work up dreaming to hold a press conference just because he desires so. What will become of this nation if I may ask. Let us not just support actions that are meant to destroy the peace we have cherished in this nation.

    • @ Misozi

Wow. That is the rule of law according to pf? Do you know the meaning of RULE OF THE LAW?
Just shut-up and pray that there is no reaction!
      Pray you !mbecile, pray!!!

    • @ Misozi
And do you know the meaning of POA? PUBLIC (not party or pf unconstitutional militia) ORDER (compliance with Constitutional provisions) ACT (will of the People of Zambia expressed through Constitutional previsions and not decision of the President)?
      Too complicated?

    • Last Friday was Mr. Kabimba; Saturday was Mr. GBM; to day Mr.Sampa; Tusday?

Who is next? Ask Mr. F. Bwalya? Does he has list of the “enemy of the people”?

    • So iwe @Misozi, it is the duty of PF or any other party’s cadres to police the POA? You clearly do not know what transpired. Miles had applied for a permit was granted one. In fact, when he was attacked he was with lawyer Anthony Kasolo, who clearly understands what the POA says. Amai nkalani chete ngati mulibe vokamba. I was at Ndola airport and saw exactly was happened.

    • Under PF, Zambia is truly a failed state. Zambia is on the same path as Somalia, where every id.iot with a gun is king.

  9. If we had someone better than lungu we would have chaged. Among the opposition lungu is the best. Have you ever heard HH condemning his Tonga relatives?

    • “Among the opposition Lungu is the best”? Who is Lungu opposing?
CiZungu, hehheheheheh! Tizikamba cabe cakwatu bane.

  10. MULENGA SATA CHECK !!! LUNGU IS THREATENED BY MILES AND IS TRYING TO DISMISS HIS DEPARTURE AS HAVING BEEN CAUSED BY AMBITION AND EGO. MILES SAMPAS LEAVING PF HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT HE IS BISA OR SATAS NEPHEW. MILES LEFT BECAUSE OF THE FAILURES OF THE PF AND ALSO THE MARGINALIZATION OF ORIGINAL PF MEMBERS TO ACCOMMODATE RB AND HIS MMD FACTION AND PRINCIPLES. SO PLEASE GET IT RIGHT MILES SAMPA REPRESENTS THE VIOCES OF THOSE WHOSE DREAM WAS STOLEN FROM AFTER SATA DIED. NOW LUNGU IS TARGETING MULENGA SATA? MULENGA SATA STAND UP AND DEFEND YOUR FATHERS LEGACY. MULENGA SATA CHECK!!!!!

    • Mulenga is happy with the crumbs uncle Chikwanda lets him lick from the floor.
Mind you, those “crumbs” are more than you and me will ever have!!!

    • Sata’s true legacy is Lungu. Lungu is in State House because selfish and corrupt Sata never accepted that he was dying. He never thought that PF could run without him and therefore he never put any credible person to act in his position, especially Guy Scott. You will know them by their fruits.

  11. IT IS NO SECRET THE PUBLIC LOVW AND ENDEARMENT MR SATA HAD FOR HIS FAMILY. EVEN AS A STRONG DISCIPLINARIAN HE STILL DEFENDED AND PROVIDED. NOW IT IS UPTO THEM TO SHOW LUNGU THAT HE CAN NOT DEDESECRATE THEIR FATHERS LEGACY UNCHALLENGED. ALMOST EVERYTHING LUNGU HAS DONE TO THE PF HAS BEEN A CONTRADICTION OF SATAS PRINCIPLES. MULENGA SATA CHECK!!!! ARE YOU MAN OR MOUSE? MULENGA SAYA CHECK!

  12. MULENGA HAS NO BALLS. HE CANT DARE THINK OF JOINIG US ON THE STREET, HE WOULD RATHER STAY PUT AND EAT THAN DEFEND MR. SATAS’S LEGACY. WHAT A SON, ITS THE REASON BEMBAS PUT NEPHEWS TO SUCCESSED THEM PATU BA MULENGA UBU BUPABA, SAY SOMETHING.

  13. Mr. President Edgar Lungu if you are really serious you are not supporting violence in your party, may we as a nation see the arrest of those pf thugs who raided ndola airport. If we see them being arrested then we shall not that you are serious in fighting violence. But the truth of the matter is that your police will do nothing because the acts of your cadres have the blessings of your leadership. I challenge you to take action against your party thugs , your violent cadres will never respect your words because they know very well that that are c0rodile tears in public . You are never serious to stop violence. On maize issue. Don’t bring in GMOs in the country . The Great late Leader – Mwanawasa said no to GMOs. He left a standard which we want no sane leader to change.

  14. Useless Ministers said one MC Sata. He was right, these *****s go and donate maize to Mugabe so they can go and buy from Brazil at inflated rates. Is Lungu normal?
