Two MMD factions today crashed at the party’s Secretariat in Lusaka as a group calling for a convention tried to deliver a petition to the secretariat was stoned by supporters of Nevers Mumba the MMD President.
However, the fight did not take long to end as the the group calling for the convention over powered the Nevers Mumba faction who were just a handful.
The cadres went on to break windows of the secretariat offices and Deputy National Secretary Wine Zalomis’s vehicle a bus belonging to Flash buses has had it windows shattered as it was caught up in the fracus.
And addressing the media, Lusaka Province Youth Chairperson Elison Monday Malambo said they had gone to the secretariat to petition the party to go to the convention but that supporters of Nevers Mumba started stoning them.
He said it was disappointing that a leader who is a man of God can go to such an extent just to hang onto the Party Presidency adding that Dr Mumba was paying thugs to defend his illegal stay as party President.
Meanwhile Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja through a whatsapp message said the conduct of the cadres is abuse of the freedoms people are advocating for. He said police will no longer tolerate it anymore as Enough was enough.
The unruly cadres were only dispersed after police fired tear gas canisters after which Ms. Winnie Zaloumis was rescued by police from her hiding place but failed to make a comment on the matter

That is the united MMD to work with PF. A very good demonstration of unit.
But why bus cadres to deliver a petition? Why didn’t one person take it there? Mutati could have called Dr Mumba and requested for a meeting where he could have presented the same petition.
I am reporting Bowman Lusambo to police, he reported VJ for nothing. We saw lusambo in earlier pictures which LT have decided to replace to cover evidence.
DR Mumba is like the Don of a Mafiaso wing. The truth about MMD is that they are completely irrelevant to Zambian politics. Their philosophy has been hacked and sucked in by the major party PF. This is self destruction and is a testament to the desired effect of the 50%+1 constitutional change. It’s the Growing pangs ripping asunder the old to usher in The Awakening of new things. MMD members should give in to change and realign themselves with PF, as painful as it may be to them. It’s just a small matter of pride to overcome.
Isn’t that Bowsman the silly boy? Its funny that all the Parties in Zambia want to preach democracy and Good Governance at national level but its non existent at Party level; non have ever had a convention or a trouble free one!!
All this is paving way for the Red Carpet to be laid for one Man.
A man who has integrity above all Politicians.
A man who readily gave up a Political party to champion the cause of the Zambians.
A man who knew and looked at long term and not just short term.
A man who has revolutionised Matero.
Has been to havard University and slowly has risen to the top of energetic must have leaders. A man whose Party is the fastest growing party in Africa!
Ladies and Gentleman these faction groups must be ignored. UPND must be ignored. PF must be ignored.

You will notice that those calling for a convention are sponsored by UPND. The likes of Keembe, Malambo. By coincidence, they are Tongas.
Meaning they are on the Democratic side of life. The good will always face the light.
Why not just disband? However, if the convention is likely to settle the differences, convene one and accept the outcome.
The biggest mistake MMD ever made was Nevers Mumba..surely how can you trust a former TV Evangelist!!

This is RB’s way of saying if MMD won’t marry me again, no one else will. Nevers should just resign.He is fighting a party which has lost direction , and very slowly becoming irrelevant to the political affairs of Zambia. In short, it’s better to exit than to entangle yourself to a party which is in its final stage of its existence. In conclusion not even RB can revive it . It had a chance to come back but it quickly went into a mood of self destruction.

Miles Sampa was bribed by the Chinese so that they could have the contentious land in chieftainess Nkhomesha`s area in Chongwe. Those who can remember will attest to the words Nkhomesha used when Miles and his Chinese sponsors tried to launch the 10 billion dollar project and the chieftainess objected because the matter was not yet finalized. She threatened to tell the president the manuovers Miles was engaged in. Her main concern was where the displaced people would be located and what direct benefit would go to the people in the area. The fact that Miles tried to launch in favour of his Chinese friends before the above issues were concluded, shows that Miles is hiding his true character behind this cheap DF. Those of you who think Miles is an angel are in for a surprise.
All along I have been living under the mistaken belief that Miles Sampa is a very intelligent eloquent speaker like Chipimo. I got a shock of my life when i listened to the man speak. He is just an average person who has accidentally been lucky.
I’m not a fan of Miles Sampa, but what you should NEVER do is to judge someone based on their eloquence. Being an eloquent speaker is not equivalent to having leadership qualities or skills. Levy was not eloquent but turned out to be a decent President. FTJ was eloquent, Sata too was eloquent. But many people would say Levy came out top. If anything, we need to be wary of eloquent speakers, they’ll sugar coat words and cunningly promise you heaven on earth.
I am with you on this one. He carries himself with so much pomp until you hear him speak. I can’t listen to him on radio, it’s embarrassing even when I am alone.

If anything it is Lungu’s conduct breeding violence in MMD. Immediately he offered to form an alliance with MMD and threatened to go ahead and work with MPs if MMD did not sort out it’s internal problems there has been no peace. Before that offer MMD was quiet. Anyway birds of the same furthers flock together. Now PF and MMD have become. No wonder some original PF members are resigning from PF.
MMD was quiet yes, but not peaceful. It was a volcano about to explode. It was the reason ECL had to allude to making an alliance with ‘a united MMD.’ He knew it wasn’t.

Embarrassing Kwena,,,,my Hour party’s infighting will never end! This was all perpetrated by which ever twats endorsed RB and William Banda, after the Demise of great Levy, MHRIP. Chaos in the party escalated from that point!
Then comes hop scotch Nevers and Muhabi Lungu to Fxxx it up even tragically….proves why we inevitably got clobbered by PF in forth elections. At this rate the 50% +1 will live to haunt us after Late Mwanawasa used to reject it as a unfair way of voting. If I were Chagwa, I’d consider another running mate like veteran Given Lubinda before he too returns to UPND….
The cadres should be punished & be made to pay for the damages to the car & mini bus. Nervas as a leader should be held responsible for the behaviour of his cadre
