Opposition UPND Bweengwa MP Harvie Hamududu has accused the ruling PF of stage managing the purported violence and abduction of government workers shortly after the rally held by President Lungu last week.
But PF Secretary General Davis Chama described as shameless that the opposition MP could go on radio and deny the incident.
Speaking when he featured on 5FM’s the Burning Issue radio program Mr Hamududu said the incident which is said to have occurred in his constituency was not perpetrated by the UPND supporters as was widely reported but that it was stage managed by the PF themselves.
He accused state media of blowing the whole issue out of proportion and wondered why ZANIS who are said to have been part of the group of people purported to have been abducted does not have even a single shot of the incident.
He said the police have not charged anyone for abduction because there was no abduction something the police confirmed during the meeting.
“We had a meeting at the DC’s office with the police commissioner and other security officers and I invited Chief Hasonde to be a witness because its his area which was affected and the police confirmed that their was no abduction. The issue is being blown out of proportion especially by the state media so the stories you are hearing are just made up stories especially in the Times of Zambia, Daily Mail, ZNBC they are blowing the issue out of proportion,” he said.
He accused the PF of calling for a meeting in Bweengwa to deliberately provoke the people in the constituency and in the end label them as a violent people.
“This meeting to me was called to Bweengwa to provoke the people so that they can label the people of Bweengwa violent, so that they can say that the people of Bweengwa the place where HH is coming from are violent,” he said.
On the state of the school were UPND President is purported to done his primary education, Mr Hamududu said President Lungu did not go to inspect the infrastructure but to abuse the UPND.
“First of all the President had no Message he just went to check the school to abuse HH and he was misinformed, how does a President come there and speak from the point of ignorance, he was totally misinformed….. Hakainde Hichilema never went to Bweengwa primary school, HH went to Moya primary school which is 3KM from the Bweengwa school itself,” he said.
But PF SG Davis Chama said Mr Hamududu was shamelessly lying to the national on air on what transpired in Bweengwa.
He said Mr Hamududu did not deserve to be a leader if he could lie in front of people without any shame adding that the scourge of violence will not be fought successfully if party leaders are in denial.
“It is very unfortunate what that MP is saying, how can we attack our own innocent people it doesn’t even make common sense. I think that is the problem with UPND because they don’t want to accept the problem when it occurs, how can you kill a problem if you are in denial. I think they should learn to accept responsibility that is the only way we are going to tackle this issue of violence when you deny an open thing like that as a leader then you don’t even deserve to be in leadership.
It’s really unfortunate that we have leaders who can lie openly in front of people like that on radio he doesn’t deserve to be a leader that person who is with you on radio, its very very unfortunate,” he said.

This was poorly staged by PF, they can do better…..They also claim that cars were damaged by the “hostage takers” but no damaged GRZ car has been shown.
And no civil servant has been interviewed by DeadNBC saying that he/she was abducted. Pure propaganda!

Hamududu may be right, in Choma on Wednesday 24th Feb around 22:00hrs Millitary police swang into action. They drove Landcruisers with one headlamp. U will think its a motorcycle coming then they pounce on you. Whoever they found moving around that time was thrown in the cruiser. If you ask why, U receive a very hard slap behind your head. You argue they would beat you hard with the short button. The cells at Choma Police were full. So ZWD was right. Why doing this to us people of Southern Province? Have we gone back to the UNIP days when we had no free movement after 20:00hrs.
The sequence of the purported abduction, whether real or imaginary, to me, did not add up. It still leaves a lot to be desired. There are more questions than answers to the whole episode.
But why is it that former UNZA lumpen, Douglas Syakalima, who used to insult Marshlands Village residents each time he came back from a drinking spree when he lived there, is reported by The Post to have said what happened in Bweengwa was UPND vengeance against PF? Is that not admission enough from HH’s advisor that UPND was responsible for the violence? I had respect for Highvie who I know very well, but now I am beginning to think differently about this man.

Opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has rubbished assertions that he personally looted state resources during the privatization programmes by undervaluing some state assets.
Mr Hichilema maintained that he offered a professional service to the Zambian Government during the privatization exercise through his firm Coopers & Lybrand which later changed its name to Grant Thornton.
He said he has never worked in Government and does not understand how a professional firm could hoodwink an entire Government system to sale its assets cheaply adding that he was never involved in the sale of any ZCCM asset.

Grrant Thornton is NOT even among the big four PWC, DELLOIT, KPMG & EY). It’s the culture of work in audit firms to sleep in office several times to deliver some tight deadline projects starting from the partner, manager, audit senior, and the entire team of assistants. So it’s simple minded cadres like upnd cadres who could easily be mislead because to them stealing in heroism. We are not dull; we are not young. In its desperation, PF stage-managed the incident and went the entire world begging for UPND to apologise. Anyone trained in forensic theory will pull a thread on how it happened and discover a number of missing links in the equation. The missing links are glaringly now pointing to PF as having orchestrated this violence incident. PF is better off losing with dignity and not dishonor.

Why is it that only PF Cadres are being arrested for causing violence? Others are now rotting in prisons for murdering UPND cadre. Coming the the Bweengwa incident, ask yourself this question why did Highvie wait to give a statement after the meeting with all stakeholders? Simple logic will entail that he wanted to get he bottom of this issue through proper channels, I mean he would have just called the district chairperson or some provincial leadership person to clarify but no he involved the police the local chiefs too. So from that his statement is not coming from without but has a lot of integrity because he took time to get to the bottom of this issue with professionals and the police inclusive.
