Zimbabwe allegedly fixed to lose Zambia CHAN match

Share

Zimbabwe are alleged to have fixed to lose their Group D matches at the 2016 CAF African Nations Championship in Rwanda including their match against Zambia.

Zambia beat Zimbabwe 1-0 in their Group D opener on January 19 in Rwanda on the latter’s way to a preliminary round exit with one point.

Zimbabwe is currently in the midst of a match fixing scandal with allegations that they was a plot to also throw their 2017 Africa Cup qualifiers against Swaziland.

“In effect our Rwanda matches were affected by this corruption, this whole match-fixing saga,” “Zimbabwe Football Association President Phillip Chiyangwa told local media.

“I will not leave anything to chance. I will chase them to their rat holes until such a time (as) they are brought to book.”

Zimbabwe coach Callisto Pasuwa and goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva are reportedly the whistle-blowers in the latest match fixing scandal to hit The Warriors after refusing to go along with the plot.

  1. Please assist us by naming WHO they fixed the Chipolopolo game with, coz our ACC thinks its work starts and ends just when they an interview a suspect(maybe they even ask you to reach out for your pocket during the interview)!

  2. It is all lies. Zambia under PF has been depleted of its money and there’s no money to bribe anyone. May be Kalusha had some from Blata but I doubt. The coach and goal keeper just want to find an excuse for them not to be demoted.

  3. Zimbabwe players and some members in the technical team oare the ones paid not Zambian players
These guys are paid to lose games.Zambia have nothing to do with that .read and understand first batho

  4. Its not about Zambia bribing the Zimbabweans, NO. Its about an international betting syndicate that pays thousands and thousands of dollars to clubs and national teams around the world to either lose or win matches. As of now, these are only allegations.
