Kafue PF Member of Parliament Obvious Mwaliteta along with his Mpongwe constituency counterpart Gabriel Namulambe have today endorsed the candidature of UPND President Hakainde Hichilema.
At a news conference held at Chainama Hotel in Lusaka, the two MPs said they have decided to work with the UPND because it is now the party of choice.
At the same event, late President Michael Sata’s long serving bodyguard Judge Ngoma also pledged to campaign for the UPND and ensure that Mr Hichilema becomes President.
Mr Ngoma said he has decided to work with the UPND because the ruling PF has allegedly sidelined him.
Mr Mwaliteta has admitted that he does not have a Grade 12 certificate but that he is not bothered as he represents the many Zambians who have no certificates.
And President of the Zambia Redemption Front Keli Walubita Jr dissolved his political party to join the UPND.
People’s Redemption Party president Gerry Sikazwe also dissolved his party to join the UPND.
And a PF Councillor from Petauke Central identified as Kelvin also joined the UPND.
He warned that his endorsement of Mr Hichilema is a strong signal that things are not well in the PF.
Meanwhile, Mr Mwaliteta has admitted that he does not have a Grade 12 certificate but that he is not bothered as he represents the many Zambians who have no certificates.
Mr Mwaliteta who quit his post as Lusaka Province Minister expressed willingness to help the UPND and in particular Mr. Hichilema, popularly referred to as HH win the tripartite poll.
He said what he has done is exactly what Katuba MP Jonas Shakafuswa did recently when he endorsed President Edgar Lungu.
And Judge Ngoma said he has decided to work with the UPND in order to liberate the Zambians.
“I want to be part of this change. Zambia is not for PF alone. Zambia belongs to all of us, its Zambia PLC, even my grandchildren are shareholders in this country. PF should not be gong round killing people,” Judge Ngoma said.

OBVIOUS Mwaliteta says the UPND should force its leader Hakainde Hichilema to retire from politics because he is becoming a liability to the opposition political party.
Commenting on the PF’s victory in Mulobezi, Mwaliteta, who was leading the campaign team in Machile, said the UPND was no longer attractive to people. “They should just go back to the drawing board and start thinking of dissolving that party and start a new UPND with new people. They should change the top leadership; they should tell Hakainde to retire and leave other members who will see sense in the One Zambia, One Nation motto. The grade 12 certificate issue was in the draft constitution and Mwaliteta could not understand and needed someone to interpret to him. Now that he has come to understand it, the only option is to run to UPND where education is not considered much for NOW.
