Nkana won’t relax-Chiyangi

Nkana coach Aggrey Chiyangi says the FAZ Super Division leaders will strive to ensure that they stay top of the table as the season progresses.

The record 12-time champions on Wednesday opened a five-point lead at the top of the 18-team table after beating Kabwe Warriors 1-0 at Nkana Stadium.

“We knew the game against Warriors was going to be tough and it was tough. Like I said we won’t underrate any team in the league,” Chiyangi said.

Nkana moved to 12 points from four games to maintain their one hundred percent start to the campaign.

“Our overall target is to stay top and to stay top we have to win all our matches. So we are going to work very hard because we know that Nkana is now the team to beat,” he said.

Nkana are now shifting attention to Sunday’s away match against second placed and promoted Lusaka Tigers who sits on seven points after an away 1-1 draw at Green Buffaloes on Wednesday.

“Winning the first four games is very motivating for us,” Chiyangi said.
