Zambia make no gain on FIFA rankings

Share

Zambia stays put on the latest FIFA Rankings released in Zurich on Thursday for the month of April.

Chipolopolo stands still at 78th in the World thanks to their modest performance in the 2017 Africa Cup Group E qualifiers in March.

Successive 1-1 home and away draws against Congo-Brazzavile have left Zambia with no gain since falling from 76 in February to 78th last month.

Congo too stay put in 59th place.

However, Group E leaders Guinea Bissau, who host Zambia on June 2 in their penultimate qualifying match, have made a 45 point jump to land at 102 in the World.

This is after they beat Kenya 1-0 home and away in their Group E doubleheader last month.

Kenya are at 115 in the World.

Meanwhile, the top three African countries on the FIFA charts are one Algeria, 2nd is Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana are 3rd.

Senegal are 4th while Egypt is 5th.
