One more person has been arrested in connection with the suspected ritual murders recorded in Lusaka.

Home Affairs Minister, Davis Mwila says this bring the number of suspects arrested in connection to the ritual murders to 12.

Mr. Mwila however says investigations into the ritual killings are still underway and have advanced.

He added that police have continued to patrol the compounds to ensure that peace is maintained.

The Acting President has further assured foreign nationals that their lives are secure and should not be afraid.

Mr. Mwila also disclosed that 556 Congolese have been taken to the refugee camps.

He said this when the Congolese Ambassador to Zambia Mayele Bernardin called on him on Monday.

He further said the country will remain peaceful before and after the general elections.

And Ambassador Bernardin commended government for maintaining peace after the recent incidences in Lusaka.

He urged the government to uphold peace even before and after elections.

The Ambassador said Zambia and the DRC will continue to enjoy and strengthen relations.

  1. Well done please cage those cannibals anthropophagites they need a lot of psychological help. Now LT please clarify…who is the acting president?? Chagwa is now acting or what??

    • Where have they been arrested?;They are no longer in Lusaka. Last time we heard of them they were in Luapula or Northern Province. This time they can be anywhere; but certainly not Lusaka, it has become hot water there

    • Well, @Misango Yaba Chaimani, you seem to know better than the police or security personnel investigating these horrible murders, so why don’t you tell us where they are and will go and get them?

And how does the suspected ritual killing reported in Luapula has to do with investigations in Lusaka? Can’t both investigations go on at the same time? Ubupuba!

    • BA MWILA CCTV IN TOWNS IS ONE OF THE EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS TO CURB ALL THE COCKTAILS OF CRIME IN THE COUNTRY. START BUYING CCTV EQUIPMENT FROM CHINA IF OUR MFEZs CANNOT PRODUCE A CAMERA AND OTHER RELATED ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND START INSTALLING THEM ON HIGHWAYS, PLAY GROUNDS, PARKS, TOWNSHIP STREETS. POLICE CCTV WILL IMPROVE THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS COFFERS THROUGH OVER-SPEEDING, WRONG PACKING OF VEHICLES ON HIGHWAYS, ETC. WHILE WRONG PACKING IN TOWNS AND COMPOUNDS AND OTHER ANTI-SOCIAL VEHICLE-RELATED OFFENCES IN CITIES, TOWNS AND VILLAGES WILL GREATLY IMPROVE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COFFERS. USE MODERN TECHNOLOGY TO CURB CRIME AND MAKE MONEY. IN WHICH WORLD DO YOU LIVE YOU GUYS?

    • It can only be either:
      – A serial killer
      or
      – Organ trafficker are in country for harvesting. Check at DHL for refrigerated medical shipments.
The business boost, and the PF ritual shhhit is a backward theory.

  2. WE WANT THEIR NAMES. AT LEAST NEIGHBORS SHOULD KNOW THEM, PROBABLY IT WILL SPEED UP ARRESTS. COZ OBVIOUS SOMEONE SAW THEM BUT NOT SURE. IT MAY HELP CONNECT THE “DOTS”

    • No need for that. Zambians in these areas are known act irrationally and that may spark more riots as people demand for the blood of the suspects.

  3. @Emmanuel, careful what you wish for on others. Zambian Police are known for picking wrong suspects just to please the bosses.

  4. They’ll keep saying that investigations are underway until the killer(s)’ mission(s) is/are complete. I see no reason why faces or names of these people are not being given or shown.
Investigations in terrorists attacks in Brussels/France are always swift because names are given so that the public is aware, you wouldn’t know if there are any public witnesses who know something if names are not given

  5. I would have loved to hear that police have arrested the suspects of serial murders have have taken place in Chingola for over a decade now. Why have police been mute on Chingola murders? Is it not because, as we are made to believe, that the murders look after the police very well?
Murders, Poor/no roads, no politician seems interested about the well being of us in Chingola.

  7. I think there are no arrests because we don’t know who has been arrested and which police station they are locked up. Why hiding the identity of a criminal sure ba minister? We are in a modern world where secrecy to such vices must not be practiced.
