Patriotic Front Deputy Secretary General, Mumbi Phiri has urged the youth in the country to vote for President Edgar Lungu and the PF in August elections.
Mrs. Phiri says the youth working with PF will together develop the country.
Speaking at a youth rally in Lusaka’s Bauleni compound, Mrs. Phiri said President Lungu has demonstrated his vision for the youth through various appointments and programmes.
She said President Lungu needs more time to bring more development for the benefit of all Zambians.
And speaking at the same rally, PF National Youth Chairman, Stephen Kampyongo said urged the youth in the party to desist from engaging in political violence.
Mr. Kampyongo who is also Local Government Minister said the youth have a big role to play in ensuring that President Lungu wins this year’s elections.
Meanwhile PF Lusaka province youth chairman, Kennedy Kamba implored the youth in party to accelerate mobilisation of membership ahead of the polls.
The mammoth rally was attended by various people including Ministers, Given Lubinda and Margaret Mwanakatwe.

Malanji has urged the church to Pray and rally behind the leadership of President Edgar Lungu.
Ambassador Malanji says church leaders have a duty to pray and support leaders in the Country.
Ambassador Malanji was speaking at the United Church of Zambia
Kabundi Congregation in Chingola during a home empowerment service for the Church’s minister’s house where he donated Ten Thousand Kwacha towards the project.
Ambassador Malanji also contributed Three Thousand Kwacha towards the fundraising committee.
And United Church of Zambia Kabundi Congregation Reverend Rodwell Siame has asked congregants to vote wisely in this year’s general elections.
Reverend Siame urged congregants to vote wisely and elect leaders capable of improving people’s lives.
He also asked members to contribute towards the empowerment project to ensure that ministers are provided with decent accommodation and not live as destitutes.
Reverend SIAME noted that it is sad most ministers in the Church retire as destitute because members failed to provide for them after leaving ministry.
And PF member Bowman Lusambo has charged that the Copperbelt is the ruling party stronghold.
Mr Lusambo says the ruling party has done its home work and will ensure that the region gives President Lungu and the PF overwhelming support.
He says the Copperbelt will once again back President Lungu and the PF like it has always done in the past.
