  1. October is too late because I have already decided to vote foolishly on 11 August , after all I do not have a grade 12 certificate.

  2. Yaba as long as its Yamfwa Mukanga yapping… i cannot take him seriously. He promised and assured us that the national airline is coming by June 2014 after his arrival from Dubai where he “had ” talks with Emirates. He is just yapping. Which proper Airport Terminal can be done by October 2016? Simple bus stops take 3 years to be built in Zambia.

  3. There is no way there will be a new terminal by October 2016 unless they are building another Lusaka inter bus terminal for planes at the airport. 5 months to go with no major structure in place to substantiate October completion???

    • Completely agree. This is a fake way to lure voters or make themselves look like they are working. The last you want is an airport that collapses or very high maintenance costs because it was not built well like they have done with the roads.

    • theyve laid foundations and base form work but this new terminal is complex design not a cheap box as an architect i can confirm there is no way it will be complete in october even in RSA where all the materials are available they would struggle …..also remember society house started with RB 5 years later the project is still under construction

  4. Completely agree with Kaponya. This is a fake way to lure voters or make themselves look like they are working. The last you want is an airport that collapses or very high maintenance costs because it was not built well like they have done with the roads.

    • Eddy. Nobody reads your stupid comments can you see what copperbullet has written as an architect. He is a professional unlike someone like you without a life and probably no job that is why you are always blogging. I would not be surprised if you were Mumbi Phiri’s son or Kambwili junior

  6. Nairobi’s JKIA is expanding with a whole new $650m terminal yet in Zambia we’re only doing a makeover of our smaller old terminal?

Zambia is still run by visionless backward analogue thinkers.

    • its a completely new terminal in Lusaka no makeover thats why its no possible to finish in 5months….its also an impressive design so i hope they dont cut corners for these fake promise

2nd the JKIA terminal was terminated 2 months ago because of apparent corruption cases, project unfortunately has been scrapped their only go to add a new runway now…..but terminal 3 is still very new thou

  7. To be fair to PF, Mukanga is the worst and most incompetent minister in many years. In fact he epitomises the Donchi Kubeba culture which at the core of PF!! No wonder even Sata called him Chipuba Mukanga – which is only true. He has been promising us the National Airline since 2012, 2013, 2014 but even in 2016 there is nothing happening.
Now the ID.iot wants to cheat about the KKIA – what does he think about Zambians? We are not foolish enough to be cheated by foo,ls like this Ugly Aligator Chikanga! Go hell you mother fuc.ker Chikanga!!

    • What have you achieved by insulting? Just articulate all I read where insults. What are you trying to say?

  9. sorry guys as an architect i don’t see this possible there still working on foundations for the new terminal the project is supposed to take 2 and half years it only started last year will still have a year to go…….this is election talk……….they should rather aim to finish society house in town

  10. PF lies. And they want people to trust them. $25 million went missing from this project earlier on and no one knows how.

  11. Hahaha $500 million for Kariba Rehabilitation has disappeared. Walandako, you go to jail. What a mess we have put ourselves in

  12. Liar Minister of Plunderers Federation has spoken.
Unfortunately for him, his latest utterance goes hand in hand with his previous attempts to deceive.
Anybody can check the state of the project by logging on “Google Earth” and zooming in to co-ordinates 19*19’32.58″S and 28*26’57.51″E which will show Hon. (lol) Minister habitual deception.
Whilst on the subject of the new terminal, where the planes are going to park? Mr. Mukanga, have you forgotten that there is need for “Apron” and “taxi-way” in front of terminal?

  13. I use KK international airport quite often and was pleasantly surprised yesterday to see that their is a floury of activity at the site Infact the foundation seems completed and the pillars are now going up. However I seriously doubt the October 2016 timeline. They would need to work day and night 24/7…which is not a bad idea. However, other than the terminal do they not plan to build new runway too? Both domestic and international will use the same one runway that currently exists? This will be a pity as one would think by extending the terminals there is obviously and intention to attract more airlines and/or flights.

  14. I went there personally and saw the might development terminal it has really reached an advanced stage. Big ups to PF government. Hope my party is watching out.

  15. I commend what you’re doing to the airport. This was one good thing that Sata did. But I too doubt that you can finish the project by October. Mukanga you’re still holding on to your position? One day the arm of the Law shall catch up with you and Lungu shall not be there to defend you.

  16. Here in Livingstone, a simple market in town and the bus station has taken years to build & they are now at standstill because the money is gone.

  17. My advise to PF is that they should first provide clean drinking water to people before they construct roads. It is even easier to improve the water situation that make poor quality roads for political expedience. They could also improve the drainage system around the cities to avoid out break of diseases. This will reduce the number of people seeking medical attention for preventable diseases such as cholera. Leaders must learn to set good priorities. This is the as spending money on expensive building materials before you even have a plot and plan for the house you intend to build.
