Resist Fear
The very moment you first feel fear, you have to resist it and act against it. If you make the mistake of dwelling on your fears and start thinking about all the reasons why you can’t do what God is telling you to do, then it won’t be long before you develop a negative mindset that will keep you stuck right where you are.
In the Bible, when God told David to go fight Goliath, it says that David moved quickly toward the battlefield. In other words, he didn’t think about it. He didn’t allow fear to grip his heart and talk him out of it. He just did what God wanted him to do.
So many people today are just sitting on the sidelines of life. They have tremendous potential on the inside, but they keep letting the enemy talk them out of doing what God wants them to do. Every time they get a vision of victory for their life, the enemy brings fear; and they just swallow his lies hook, line and sinker. Don’t let that be you! Instead, obey quickly. Resist fear and boldly embrace every blessing the Lord has in store for you!

“Father, today I resist fear. I choose to receive Your love. I believe that with You, all things are possible. Thank You for giving me the power to live in victory in every area of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

The Promise of Heaven
The most important aspect of Christianity for the enslaved was the promise of heaven — a promise made by plantation owners. This idea preached the notion that for all the suffering that is done in the physical world, your soul will be preserved and you will experience a hardship-free spiritual life, according to Slave Resistance, A Caribbean Study. What this did for enslaved Black people was give them hope for the future. Converted enslaved people’s belief in heaven allowed some to passively resist their plantation owners and focus on the afterlife. With that belief, all of the beatings and lashings meant nothing because in heaven the enslaved person would be rewarded and the master would be punished.
The most sensible African’s just wonder why so many of our people love the white man’s religion more than the white man himself.

They gave us the scriptures and while we were busy reading the scripture they looted the continent. Tell them how God loves them, turn the other cheek when I slap you, the slave should be subservient to the master. All those verses to make people timid and submissive. Bring the image of a white man as the son god, give them the impression that God is white and let them bow down to the white missionary.

How can any African identify as a Christian when the Bible was used to support slavery and Christianity was brought by the very same people who exploited and enslaved Africans?

I have known people who tithed faithfully, gave in every offering and still ended their lives not having two ngwee’s rub together. Of course, the explanation is, God will reward them on “the other side.” All well and good, but why then d o n ’ t the preachers wait to receive their rewards? It seems their hypocrisy knows no bounds. ?
Christianity has done absolutely nothing for black people for the last 300 years, except kept them impoverished and created a race of religious fanatics.
