UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has said that it is wrong thinking for anyone to suggest that he should be replaced as UPND president should he lose the August general elections.
Mr. Hichilema said that he was not in the UPND to get a benefit, adding that being in the UPND is not about being its President but to serve the people.
Mr. Hichilema noted that he already had a life outside politics and therefore he only came into politics to serve.
Mr. Hichilema said that what mattered to him most was what the people of Zambia wanted and that becoming Republican President does not evoke any excitement in him.
Mr. Hichilema further said that it was in fact a painful thing to be Republican President.
The UPND leader further noted that whether it was his last chance to be UPND president or not was not an issue because he has never thought it to be like that.
Mr. Hichilema however said that if it happens that the people of Zambia decide not to allow the UPND under his leadership to govern the Country, that will be the decision of the people, and it will not make him cry at all.

Yesterday the President explained clearly the meaning of sontapo to UPND cadres who had misunderstood it. He used the example of Dangote who is making money while saving and serving the people.
