In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren come out of a self-imposed sabbatical to travel to Enfield, a borough in north London. There, they meet Peggy Hodgson, an overwhelmed single mother of four who tells the couple that something evil is in her home. Ed and Lorraine believe her story when the youngest daughter starts to show signs of demonic possession. As the Warrens try to help the besieged girl, they become the next target of the malicious spirits

- Excellent performance by the entire cast especially Vera Farmiga who played the role of Lorraine Warren and Madison Wolfe who played the role of 11 year old Janet Hodgson.
- It had a very gripping story-line
- The movie had some terrific camera work that added to the horror .
CONS
- It is not very original as the haunted house story has been told many times .

CONCLUSION
While the haunted house genre may seem played out, The Conjuring 2 adds a few more logs to keep the fire burning .
The Conjuring 2 has a very good and believable story-line . Despite it being a horror movie it doesnt have ridiculously outlandish scenes .The fact that it is based on a true story adds to the believability . It touches on topics such as demons , ghosts ,and christian faith .The movie has a quick pace to it and is filled with scary moments, some with a build up bringing a huge sense of tension. Others that just jump right at you when you least expect it and linger on until you are left screaming.
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilsons had amazing chemistry and gave a splendid performance as the paranormal investigators Ed Warren and his clairvoyant wife, Lorraine.
But the real stars of the movie are the children . These kids are terrified of the haunting and you will feel their dread . Madison Wolfe had a particularly great performance as the main target of the haunting .
Fans of horror movies should definitely watch The Conjuring 2 , but dont watch it alone…
