Paramount chief Chitimukulu Mwinelubemba Kanyanta Manga II has urged Zambians to embrace peace and unity in the aftermath of last week’s general elections.

Chief Chitimukulu said the peace that characterized the elections should continue even after the polls.

He has since praised electorates countrywide for remaining peaceful and calm during the elections.

And the Mwinelubemba has observed that the recent general elections were conducted in a free and fair manner thereby rendering them credible.

He however said political parties opposing the outcome of the polls are at liberty to exercise their democratic right to seek legal guidance.

Meanwhile, Paramount chief Chitimukulu has expressed confidence that the Patriotic Front (PF) administration will efficiently complete the on-going developmental programmes following the re-election of President Edgar Lungu.

He is hopeful that more projects aimed at developing the country and improving the welfare of citizens will be undertaken during PF’s new five year mandate.

He has since congratulated President Lungu on his re-election.

The Mwinelubemba said this when newly elected Malole Constituency Member of Parliament Christopher Yaluma called on him at his palace in Mungwi district yesterday.

And Mr. Yaluma thanked the traditional leadership for playing a key role in ensuring that peace is upheld during the election period.

  1. Indeed we mfumu, sit both GBM and HH down and tell them that, Zambia is bigger than their balls. Encourage them to arrange a meet between UPND and PF to solve their petty differences and if need be, let HH become VP so that we may as a country move forward for the betterment of all the Zambian Pipo especially, our children, grandchildren and their future children’s children. Mind you, we have ONLY one Zambia where these others have elsewhere to run to if and when we destroy our nation.

    • HH CANNOT BECOME A VP. HE WASN’T LUNGU’S RUNNING MATE. ARE YOU STILL IN DARKNESS YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT RUNNING MATE MEANS OR WHAT THE NEWLY AMMENDED CONSTITUTION MEANS IN THAT REGARD? ONLY THOSE CHOSEN BY THE CITIZENS THROUGH A BALLOT PAPER CAN BE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT. TEKUPELANA FYE NGA MA SHIRTS. ONE HAS TO BE ACCEPTED BY THE PEOPLE. HH TOGETHER WITH HIS RUNNING MATE GBM ARE PEOPLES’ REJECTS.

  2. gbm ni Chumbu Munshololwa, Mwine Lubemba and other SIBLINGS HAVE REJECTED GBM because of his pomposity and lack of education. Apo batampila ukumufunda ati akwate amano kale nokunaka kuti banaka. NECHIPALA INKULA ALA CILATUSHA. GBM is worried about his businesses and Hakainde is worried about the MONEY he had borrowed from Anglo America. The two will fall down like alexander the Great who was killed by only one mosquito. Let the results be nullified, they will even loose the votes they were stealing from their strong holds

  3. Mwine Lubemba be concern about your children. How Bembas were beaten by Tongas? Let’s also know the number of Tongas who were beaten by Bembas in MP,NP and Luapula provinces. That’s when we can ask for reconciliation and unit

  4. Let’s not be quick to ask for peace this is an opportunity to know who abuse who most. Let’s get facts from institutions of learning and working places before going to marriages and churches. In south Africa there was truth and reconciliation. Let’s start with Tonga’s and Bemba’s before going to other tribes. How many Tongas were beaten or abused by Bembas Mwine Lubemba? How many Bembas were beaten or abused by Tongas. Its high time we brought this to an end.
