Kitwe United are back at the summit of the FAZ Division One Zone Two table after thumping Mining Rangers 5-2 in Sunday’s Kitwe derby played at Garden Park Stadium.
Striker Emmanuel Chabula and midfielder Chileshe Musonda registered brace each with Joe Simbuwa scoring the other goal Kitwe moved to 43 points after 22 matches played.
Dan Chilumba and Grandson Phiri scored for Mining Rangers in this Week 22 fixture watched by a fantastic crowd at Garden Park Stadium.
It was a game in which the Buchi Boys dominated play in both halves with Mining showing little resistance.
Elsewhere, Konkola Blades dropped from top to second position after a 1-1 draw against visiting Ndola United at Konkola Stadium in Chilabombwe.
The home draw moved Konkola to 42 points, one behind leaders Kitwe.
Third placed Stylish Roan United are two points behind the leaders after beating Chambishi 2-1 at Kafubu Stadium in Luanshya.
Roan sits on 41 points after 22 matches played.
