Red Cross deploys 50 First Aid staff for inauguration ceremony

The Zambia Red Cross Society has deployed Fifty (50) first aid workers for tomorrow’s inauguration ceremony of President – elect Edgar Lungu and Vice President – elect Inonge Wina at Heroes Stadium.

Zambia Red Cross Society Secretary General Abraham Gwevarghese confirmed to ZANIS in a telephone interview yesterday, that 50 first Aid staff have been lined up for tomorrow’s inauguration ceremony to handle any case of eventuality.

Mr. Gwevarghese said that all arrangements have been completed and that everything is in place and ready for tomorrow’s inauguration ceremony.

He further disclosed that the Red Cross is working together with the Ministry of Health, and that the first aiders will be use the clinic at the Heroes Stadium to treat any serious cases of serious issues.

Meanwhile Mr. Gwevarghese has appealed to the general public to accept the Red Cross officials and allow them to do their work as an independent body, for they are not attached to any political party.
