Satire : What the Princess wants, the Princess gets

Her short Afro hairstyle and matching dimples always make her stand out in a crowd. Kwasila Kungu is no ordinary woman. She is the daughter of the mighty King Eddy, the king of the Dambia kingdom. Little was known about her before her father ascended to the throne. Word on the street is that her numbers of qualifications can only be equalled by one, Roberto Mugabe the king of the neighbouring Zimbo Kingdom. She couldn’t help smiling as she walked into the office building of the kingdom`s ruling party the PF.

“Hello princess Kwasila what can I do for you?” asked David Pwila, the party`s new Secretary General.

“Hello sir. I hope this is not a wrong time for me to see you, especially looking at the fact that you are still mourning, after you lost your parliamentary seat in Chilupili constituency,” said the ever confident Kwasila.

“No, no dear, far from it. How can I complain when your father our mighty king Eddy has appointed me as Secretary General of the party? There is more to life than losing constituencies my dear, ever heard of the saying, “starring tafwa” before? So what can I do for you princess?” he responded.

“I am here because I want to stand as deputy mayor of Kulusaka?” replied Kwasila without mincing any words.

“Oh my God! What did you just say princess?” responded the shocked David Pwila.

“I said that I want to stand as deputy mayor,” she said.

“No my dear, no. We have already lined up Chrisantus Shakafulwa for the position. He is the one we want,” he said. He was trying hard not to show his disappointment. But his frown gave him away.

“What?! Who is we? Don`t you think that I have the constitutional right to stand?” asked the dejected Kwasila.

“We decided as the central committee, you see princess,  Shakafulwa has been a councillor for some time now and he played a big role in our campaigns. It is only fair that we insulate him from any form of competition, especially from people like you,” he responded.

“What?! Is that the only reason you think Shakafulwa deserves the position? What happened to democracy in this party?” asked the annoyed Kwasila.

“My dear democracy only works when it suits us, it is conditional. In this case democracy must take a back seat. You can’t overrule the central committee. We have decided…its done and anyone who will vote for you will be expelled from the party, including you. Get some experience first as councillor then we can talk,” said the adamant David Pwila.

“You are kidding me right? Well if you think you can sit on my constitutionally enshrined rights, then you are messing with a wrong lady. In case you didn’t know, I am a seasoned social change advocate. I am very versed in civic matters and unfair treatment, and this doesn’t sit well with me. And you are telling me to get experience first? What experience does Wilson Twalumba the current mayor have?

Has he served as councillor before? No. So what makes you think I need experience? I will stand whether you like it or not, as long as I qualify nobody will stop me. Bye bye secretary general. My condolences once again for your loss in Chilupili,” she said before turning to leave.

“Princess wait!” shouted the desperate David Pwila. Kwasila had already slammed the door shut behind her. The following day David Pwila was disappointed to hear that Kwasila had filed in her candidature. “God why?!” he asked his maker, before he found consolation in a bottle of whiskey.

  1. There have been first family brats before. This one is the most retarded. I wanted to list reasons for my assertion but I don’t think I would cover all in one sitting. I will provide one to satisfy my readers’ minds of curiosity: when your father is incoherent, a drunk and clueless in matters he is supposed to be an expert, keep your distance. When the axe of disgrace falls, it might be your head rolling off the chopping block.

    • If the father is all what you say, how do the people of Chawama who elected him as MP fare? Not forgetting the Zambians who have voted for him on two occasions?

  2. Before the father hijacked zambian presidency this girl was an economic refugee in america. Now look what is happening, she believes she is owed the world. Very disgusting behaviour.

    • I agree with you totally! She was not only an economic refugee but a part time wh.ore and a full-time bum cleaner of old people at varied hospices! From nowhere she wants to be Deputy Mayor of Lusaka! The smelly pus.sey cat is living in dreamland!!
Zambia si anyina – this ka Lesbian Tasila Lungu evil girl!

  3. If one keeps humility when he or she is in the seat of power (driving seat), he or she avoid accidents and reaches the destination safe and sound!

The way young lady is behaving (yapping and showing off) her journey will have a huge dip the moment her dad is out of seat of power. From hero to zero will be the right statement. Ask titus Chiluba, Maureen Mwanawasa and Mulenga Sata.

    • How does applying one’s democratic right to contest an election be considered as showing off? It is just as disagreeable to discriminate against because her father is the president as it to do the same for someone whose father is considered poor or a nobody.

  4. I wonder if this kid has any college degree to qualify her for this serious job.
Politics aside, this is not a job for riffrafs.

  5. SHE abandoned her father & even CHANGED HER SURNAME to her White stepfather’s coz she wasn’t proud of a DRUNKARD FATHER. All of a sudden, she heard that the drunkard had been elected President of the failed state, she searched all her piles of luggage for her NRC & rushed back to from USA to State house, changed back her surname to LUNGU & told herself that “IF THESE KOMBONIC 1DIOTS CAN VOTE FOR AN ALCOHOLIC MAN AS PRESIDENT, I’M GOOD TO PARTICIPATE IN PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES, STAND AS COUNCILLOR, BE MAYOR IN 2 MONTHS & VUALLA!! IN 2021 I’M GONNA BE A PRESIDENT OF THE KOMBONIC 1DIOTS”.

ZAMBIA IS A NORTH KOREA IN THE MAKING
