Share

Barclays Bank Zambia will tomorrow conduct a financial literacy training workshop for Copperbelt based footballers aimed at helping them manage their investment.

Apart from the financial literacy training, the session will also include a health talk which focuses on topics such as male circumcision, prostate and cervical cancer, HIV/AIDS and the dangers of substance abuse in sports.

The health talk is facilitated by the Centre for infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) who have partnered with Barclays.

Barclays Bank Zambia Head of Marketing & Corporate Relations Mato Shimabale said Barclays is committed to ensuring that society is empowered with key skills that help to address challenges in the economy.

The training workshop that precedes the Barclays Cup semi-finals slated for Arthur Davis Stadium will be held under the theme ‘Planning for financial success.’

Mr Shimbale said the financial institution has targeted 200 footballers for the training work-shop.

This is according to a press statement issued by Mr Shimbale to ZANIS in Lusaka yesterday.
