The Energy Regulation Board has today announced a sharp rise in fuel prices effective midnight tonight.

A litre of Petrol will now cost K13.70 up from K9.87 while a litre of Diesel will now cost K11.40, an increase from K8.59.

In a statement, the ERB attributed the upward adjustments to the volatility of the Kwacha which has fallen by 30 percent against the US dollar since the last price adjustment was announced in July 2015.

Below is the full statement from the ERB

  1. Even if UPND had won the 2016 elections, this increase was always inevitable. The mess needed someone to clean up. This mess was caused by Sata’s myopic economic policies. Had we retained the MMD government in 2011, we wouldn’t be in this quagmire. Up to now I still don’t understand why enlightened people voted for Sata in 2011. Lungu is just trying to clean up Sata’s mess, but he won’t say it publicly. That’s why you have seen staunch MMD people like my elder brother, Senior Citizen and many, who never supported Sata have now jumped in the PF ship.

    • If this Rise is owing to currency Volatility then what will the price be after Subsidies are Removed???? ERB Stop lying the Kwacha has stablised albeit at a high price for sometime now

    • We told you, !!!!!! I don’t want to her people complain,, I want to see you dance dununa reverse! Lets go! Can we have music now.

    • ERB is playing politics they dont want Government to seem to have removed subsidies but instead blame it on currency 🙁

    • We expect erections to go up up up up up uncontrollably at Friday midnight, not kwacha prices!! What fuuuuck is wrong with these PF, why did you remove Dora.

    • There is absolutely nothing bewildering in this long overdue adjustment in the pump price. These commodities are procured in hard dollar currency and to expect staticity in price is subscribing to theories of the wishful society. It’s been triggered by Kwacha depreciation against the dollar in which world oil prices are denominated. No doubt this has some adverse impact yet it’s inevitable. Let’s ship in productivity and export of value added outputs to realize an export oriented economy with reduced imports. Our problems aren’t insurmountable.

    • Let everything go up 100 times.

Let all the idl0ts given few pieces of silver by the crooked PF to beat UPND and hinder them campaigning feel it.

Let all the tribalist who see no behold the tribe banye amensi!

What a backward people to vote not on merit but based on tribal and money given through corrupt means.

As for those relatives back home who were shouting ifintu ni Lungu, each time they cry ati insala, please send us money, i for one I just tell them to go and get more money from the thieving PF, I want them next time to vote using brains and not stupld tribe!!

    • PF NEED TO FREEZE ONLY INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT LIKE UNIVERSITIES CONSTRUCTION BUT GO AHEAD WITH ROADS, DAMS AND HEALTH CENTRES etc.
THE REGIONALISTS AND HATERS LIKE @BUCK TEETH … ARE HAVING A FIELD DAY BUT ARE WASTING THEIR BREATH. EVEN IF ELECTIONS WERE HELD TOMORROW hh WILL STILL LOSE BECAUSE OF HIS TRIBALISM.

    • i think it is a good idea so that we can recover our economy but the prices of good shouldn’t taken advantage of this increment and we are not doing bad in terms of pump price of petrol, look at this link to compare globalpetrolprices.com/gasoline_prices/

    • Actually UPND was going to make it even worse because HH was going to go further and remove even the subsidies at once.

On the 10th of October 2016, speaking from the veranda at his home, HH castigated the government for subsidising energy.

He said the pf government was wasting a lot of money on subsidies on energy, money which could be used on other sectors of the economy.

This means that people should be grateful that pf won the elections because HH was going to make the lives of Zambians even harder.

The increase in the cost if fuel is just an adjustment that is reflective of the cost ratio in dollar terms.

Remember that when purchasing the commodity, govt has to convert kwacha to dollar, and then sell back home in kwacha.

Now, where the exchange rate move upwards…

    • As usual PF with your simplicity approach to reality need not worry just work up & ‘print more money’ and distribute to your cadres only & they’ll still afford decent life. Yo cadres will vote for u regardless of damage to economy. Another Idi Amin in making!
But the opposition Will have been dununa reversed!

    • Spiced further!
PF with your simplicity approach to life reality need not worry just work up & ‘print more money’ & distribute 2yo cadres only & will still afford decent life. With such an ‘Outbreak Of Money’ yo cadres will still vote for u regardless of damage to economy. Another Idi Amin in the making!
But the opposition Will have been dununa reversed!

    • @1 the chosen one…… stop dragging ba SATA’s name into your warped filthy stinking thinking. you and your bunch of other imbeciles like chinya citizen are just shiki thinkers trying to tell Zambians that only easterners are good at running Zambia. if ba SATA was myopic as your slow punctured brain seems to suggest, would PF be there today and scoundrels like you supporting it.

    • Zambia’s economy is DEAD. No jobs, no food and no future for young adults graduating from higher institutions of learning.

Hard times are coming for most honest Zambians.

So I ask you all Zambians, ‘What is the meaning of the 52nd Zambian Independence when you are struggling to make ends meet’?

      Changwa must GO!

    • I do not believe in this notion of thinking PF have the best solutions to our economic challenges. So far they are not doing well.Surely another party could only do worse or better. To say even if UPND came to power nothing was going to change is like saying if another president won the US elections they could not have done better than Obama.Stop being short sighted. Our country needs sophiscated people who uunderstand how the world system works. Its not jsut about the balance of payments and some funny budget every year.We need a complete overhaul and people like Mutati who have failed to run small family businesses cannot take us anywhere.Mr.Lungu has made very very suspicious ministerial appointments which to me just imply he is not in a hurry to chage Zambia for the better.Thanks.

    • Opposition MPs shall boycott parliament and do a sit-in outside Parliament building in protest against Fuel price increase.

The kind of money wasted by PF government (Auditor General’s Report) K350 million could have gone to cater for the price increase that ERB is blaming on Instability of Kwacha.
The kind of money wasted on sick Sata (he was taken to USA, India, Korea, Israel and London) 31 times during his 3 years rule. Total expenditure on big entourage that accompanied him on these medical trips was $103 million.
Mr. Lungu’s has followed in the footsteps of his mentor and has travelled overseas 19 times during his 21 months rule since January 2015. Total expenditure on his trips is $46 million.

Who is causing Kwacha’s instability? Ministers who are going to China on a familiarisation trip for 9 days, President and all top heavy civil servants gallivanting within and outside Zambia. These are curse on Zambia.
These are the cause of all the sufferings Zambians are going through.
IMF shall put one and only one condition, freeze travel by civil servant, politicians and their salaries be reduced by 90%.

    • Sir you are very myopic in your analysis. Get to understand that it was Sata who removed the fuel subsidies which MMD perpetuated thinking they will return power nevertheless that never happened. Sata was a great leader not what we are seeing now. If the current leadership was bold enough this price hike would have been effected before the elections, but in the usual cowardice approach the current Goverment cheated the people.

    • All this rubbish going on in our lovely country the hall marks PF ‘s failure. ERB issues a statement which directly attributes the increase in fuel prices to Kwacha volatility which in turn is a result of Lungu and his stupid PF thugs ‘ rampant corruption, violence , murders and utter thieving.

This is but just the beginning of dununa reverse. The massive dununa reverse is on its way very soon. Its gone be worse than Zimbabwe mark my words. After they steal all the IMF funds then where will they borrow next? No where but instead they will print bonds like Mugabe.

By the way out of the IMF bailout Lungu wants to give Mugabe’s government $100million soft loan to help his mentor mitigate the effects of promisory bonds, rumour has it. I believe it absolutely true.

      VIVA UPND and…

    • Let correct this stup1d assertion that even if even it was HH fuel price increase would be inevitable. HH would have used his credibility as an astute business man to negotiate a better deal with IMF and still borrow from the markets on favourable terms that have seen price rise gradually unlike these astonishing jumps we are witnessing under the f00lish PF. It must be emphasised how ever that all these actions would have to be taken to clear the mess caused by the inept PF

No one is against the up ward fuel prices adjustments . But we are opposed to the 30% increase which which will also be increased by 25% after the IMF agreement.

The truth ofthe matter is that this 30% fuel increase has about 15% levy in it that will be used to raise money to fund Lungu ‘s extra ministries…

    • The truth ofthe matter is that this 30% fuel increase has about 15% levy in it that will be used to raise money to fund Lungu ‘s extra ministries.

I have always said that with PF in power muzanya manzi.

I can’t wait the day all these minions will be put behind bars and forced to pay back all the money they stole.

VIVA UPND and HH team. UPND for ever.

  2. I can’t hear that Dununa Reverse song anymore…Bad timing on ECL. By end of the year the cost of living would have spiralled out of control. We are dealing with a complex system here. This butterfly is going to cause storms everywhere.

  3. ECL was a key part of Sata’s government. The unplanned infrastructure activities were also started by Sata. Why claim credit for this work and sonta, yet refuse to take collective responsibility for the current economic cesspool? Kaili sonta here also!

    • Expecting the same airheads who created the mess to clean it up is called #Zambian Madness. I expect the PF Police Force to shoot to kill any slum dwellers who protest the new high prices.

    • Opposition MPs shall boycott parliament and do a sit-in outside Parliament building in protest against Fuel price increase.

    • Chimbwili says it is globo. Even our neighbours in Zim and Malawi have just had fuel price increases. (This is a lie, but who cares!)
      #TheRealDununaReverse

  4. A rudder is a small thing, without it you can’t steer the ship. Zambia is lost at sea with a broken rudder and a drunken captain.

  5. @the chosen one. You rewarded the PF by voting them back when in fact it was Sata AND his cabinet that messed up. His cabinet is still there and yet not held accountable. Those MMD stalwarts you are talking about are just tribalists who where willing to sit on the side and not support UPND. Your justification that UPND would have done the same shows your partiality. At least they did not make this mess and yet denied the opportunity, while those who messed up rewarded. Explain that to me please

    • @7 mabilafu, better to see the one who caused mess take the pain to clean it up. Yes this problem is on a greater part caused by PF’s unplanned borrowing and expenditures and it is also due to our reduced forex receipts due to reduced copper prices. We are in an inevitable situation where it makes little difference who won the August election. UPND would have even put us in more harm with an excuse of blaming everything on PF. At least in this case, the same key technocrats who know how they started the negotiations with IMF will complete them. In fact at election time,UPND was half full of PF former influentials,Guy Scott,GBM,Masebo,Miles,Mulenga Sata etc. All we need is government to engage with people and explain where it is coming from and where it is expected to end!!

    • Do you really expect PF to take responsibility and explain to Zambians when already their so-called “experts” (like Johnston Chikwanda) are spinning lies about subsidies? PF are masters of double-speak; these serpent tongued thieves say one thing and do the opposite.

    • @mabilafu
Where in my statement have I indicated that I voted (REWARDED) PF? I am just stating the fact. It’s SATA who caused this mess. I’d have loved the UPND to clean up the mess and there’s no doubt that they’d have done a great job. Someone just has to clean up this mess, I don’t care who does it.

    • @ the chosen one …. kikikiki, namafi yawamako. what about the projects ba SATA started and made team PF 2016 sontapo win elections

  6. Now some fool.s are saying even if HH was elected this would have happened…..that is like saying all those failing companies and football clubs who fire their mangers are doing it for nothing as they will continue failing……hahaha let lungu enjoy his stolen presidency.

    Sontapooooooo…….dundunaaaaaaaa.

  7. Now some monkeys are saying even if HH was elected this would have happened…..that is like saying all those failing companies and football clubs who fire their mangers are doing it for nothing as they will continue failing……hahaha let lungu enjoy his stolen presidency.

    Sontapo……dununa

  8. You ain’t seen nothing yet. Tighten your belt and take a deeeep breath.
Such sudden commodity price changes will RUIN US. Unfortunately we are all affected whether you danced that dununa s**t song or not. TOUGH S**T, we made this choice.
Is there a way out? FELLOW STUPID ZAMBIANS LET US FIND A WAY OUT QUICKLY! It can be done by hook or crook we have to find it before we all drown. Five years is tooooo long.

    • You are correct. Next the electricity prices will go up. I would like to know what has happened to the cheaper fuel from Saudi that Lungu promised us ??? Lungu and his entourage went there or was that another lie and they went there so that they could rig the ballot papers ?????????

    • He also promised brand new Airbus for his airline when he visited France yet he can not even balance his budget what a Lazy Bum he is.

  9. Us zambians we do not forsee things we were told by that things will go up but pf said GBM and HH are lying now see who was lying between the two

    • @11 West , yes HH was lying bcoz the IMF bail out program was an inevitable recipe regardless who took over government after August! All HH wanted was to take power and continue blaming PF for everything. At least PF will just have to explain why they had to accept a price increase in fuel and electricity after resisting it for over a year! HH and GBM had and will never have a magical solution to this! It is a path we have to tread as SINGLE COMMODITY BASED ECONOMY!!Many countries who commodity export prices have plummeted are experiencing this pain,Nigeria,Ghana,Angola,South Africa,Mozambique… so GBM and HH are no messiahs, only to those they hoodwinked.

    • Don’t point fingers at HH. He is not the one who has increased fuel prices. What you should be asking is the huge gap between Lungu’s “the economy is doing fine” last month and how come the economy is now unconscious and dying.

    • Opposition MPs shall boycott parliament and do a sit-in outside Parliament building in protest against Fuel price increase.

  10. Congratulations to ERB but this increment is too little for the recovery of our economy. We require to achieve NDUNUNA REVERSE.Next time the increment should not be less than K5. This should be before Dec 2016

  11. You had chance to change things so now enjoy the suffering under PF I don’t feel pity for PF supporters. This is just the beginning if you remember they lied to you that Lungu struck a deal to get cheap oil when he went to Saudi Arabia or they think we have forgotten.

    • You were warned that of administration will make things worse and HH and GBM repeated warmed, but did you listen? No!, kekeke ati Dununa reverse ait Sontapo! Where Sontapo, pa fuel station? Bpla ya shupa! Bambi balelila! Dununa reverse! ,
IT IS JUST THE BEGINNING, HH WANTED TO CORRECT THINGS BUT YOU REFUSED TO GIVE HIM A CHANGE SO WORK WITH LUNGU YOUR PRESIDENT.
10 POINT PLAN BANKED TILL 2021…
THOSE WHO RUN WITH DOGS LEARN TO BARK, THOSE WHO MINGLE WITH THE MIGHTY EAGLE LEARN TO FLY.

    • Bro, those you are mentioning are cadre diplomats dotted outside Zambia, globally. They were just making noise to protect their cadre jobs-for fear of kissing Lusaka dust and hunger! Now that their continuity in their jobs is granted with the coming back of the man with a gap in his dental fomula…they have gone mute!!

  12. Thank God it’s Friday! Always give people the hard news on a Friday. WhatvUPND screeching about? They have been going on about removal of subsidies and charging higher fuel prices for a while now. This is ok. I remember Petrol price hikes in UK, that did not go well in early 2000’s. Every petrol station jammed up and people complaining. It happens. If economy needs to manoeuvre the ups and downs of Market changes, well……. This is good economic strategy by PF.
    Blame IMF!!

    • Small change to you but not to transporters and minibus owners it adds up…its a domino effect even your pointless solar Hammer mills wont help you…time to dance, let Mutati return from his bosses in Washington with more bad news!!

    • @Jay Jay, mini buses will probably put up prices to cover, passing it on to passengers. You cant’t buy much with K3-4, in Zambia anyway. A bottle of mineral water? It’s tough though especially when other things go up as we’ll later on. Not being insensitive, just saying it’s economically necessary.

    • such foolishness – why blame the IMF – did they borrow all the money or did the PF ??? How many unfinished roads are there in Zamiba – Itezhi – Mumbwa the contractors have pulled out due to non payment. Sinazongwe the contractors have ceased work due to non payment. The list goes on and on – what happened to all the money that they borrowed to put us in this mess

    • How can you blame IMF? Was it IMF who came to Zambia asking to bail it out or it was Pf who went to IMF pleading to be bailed out because they have messed the economy so badly? The Lunda-lunda shylocks are not bad people but it is those desperate ones who go to ask for their high priced moneys. Pf rolled out so called projects everywhere not necessarily for development but to steal through tenders and contracts and they managed to cripple the economy. This is just a sign of evil things yet to come and even you supporting will jump ship.

  13. Zambia wait mwalanya amenshi. OK you will park cars, walk to work and your children walk to school. No one will afford anything. Mwakukalia katapa, pupwe, umulembwe, nchunga ne mbeba mwanya ERB ichili aleisa.

    • Am sure you are not Zambian. Whoever has to be in state house. The economy needs some work. Elections are over and the outcome so far know and what is needed is to move on. Praying for Zambians to defacate water will not change the Govt until 2021 or the courts rule otherwise.

  14. .Mupf kunya menshi mwanya bamambala its automatic dununa reverse the whole entire country set total gear dont kubeba-Sata exactly knew what he was doing not dununa revearse chakolwa who doesnt know where is coming from, he is and where is going bafikala mwilatumpika ba Sata the man of action

    • Lungu being in power is about bettering people’s lives if our living is becoming bad then Lungu should know that he will die of blood pressure because we shall protest or kill him.I told watch the space December will be the defining time for Lungu to go and HH to come.Five years is too far.

  15. ba pf what you should expect before your term ends is for people to remove you from your offices by force dont blame upnd . because you do not want to be advised. when the majority say you have failed leave, you start harrassing every one. gosh.

  16. Ba Biggie, do you think this I dear is to make the economy stable? it is for them to steal big. really, there is absolutely nothing to achieve but misery for the majority Zambians.
USA as big as it is it has 15 cabinet ministers called secretaries but Zambia as poor as we are we have …………number of cabinet ministers and the President is busy creating more ministries what madness is this? this upward adjustment is to cushion the new ministries. you can’t create something in order to employ friends and relatives at the expense of majority Zambians this is stupidity.

    • study you science well. United states has – states administered by Governors and each state has all ministry structures hence making it 15 times bigger than Zambian government. don’t say issues you dont understand well. Atleast this will reduce reckless movements by the elite from one girl friend to another in these 3.5 litre engine vehicles. happy are the poor because no fuel is needed in their two legs, we shall continue walking. cheap fuel is recipe for diseases and marriage breaks

  17. Good night good people. I am going to sleep now. I am hoping that this is just some transient nightmare that will go away when I wake up tomorrow morning..

  18. The price of a barrel of crude oil on the market is still around $50 which is still low compared to $100 of last year meaning that this increase has nothing to do with external factors.
We are now paying for this recklessness by these LAZY empty tins and the subsidies have not even been touched yet you are going to dance dununa reverse like you Red Ants in you pants. Lazy Lungu will be alright enjoying slush fund….let’s dance!

  19. Ba upnd..always opposing…! Wat would your hh have done differently if he had won..? This is part of economic recovery. We have been waiting for this. Nothing new..! Didn’t u hear your hh talking about how much government spends on fuel subsidies?

    • Only sensible comment I have read so far. It is typical of the the wooden idol’s desciples to whine over everything. This is reality and it is ok, time to work extra hard now and HARNESS, EXPLOIT and PROFIT from our resources (I was listening to Rev. Walter Mwambazi on radio last evening as I lined up to fill my 80L car fuel tank for brief relief before ‘mid-night tonight’)

  20. DR honorable c kambwili used to say this is global ask south africa , britain usa etc but honorable finance minister hired from mmd says no its something to do with pf careless and bukabwalala bwachilamo .today are lining up fot fuel before mid night but that save them. ma mabishi.

  21. What great news! Now we have to rationalize electricity prices and remove the agric subsidies.

You cannot run a county on nkogole. Well done PF for taking the bite before IMF.

Don’t worry about the voter. They vote with their stomachs. You will dupe then in election season.

Where is that song again. Dununa Reverse?!

    • Goodness with PF govt. compared to MMD is that they make BRAVE decisions; viz infrastructure development and now fuel price adjustment. I cannot compare UPND because they are still a virgin in terms of governing. They have never tasted it before…

  22. One of the major reasons why Underfive lost the elections was that he tried to spin a Sata-style gimmick that he will reduce the prices of mealie meal, fuel, electricity and yes even soap, while at the same time telling the voters that the economy was bad and the government ess broke and debt ridden. Total contradiction that Zambians ssw through and made last minute decisions to ensure that under five mever sees State House. People felt insulted actually, hence ba HH caba kalupa momba, balwala shick.ya kubwata bwata.

    • Under 5 won more than 50% of the vote….anyways let’s see how lungu leads a broke zambia.

Even that petition you can find more technicalities of why to throw it out …..this is more fun to watch the pipo dununaring reverse with prices…..

    • Ka@Spaka like lilo, even if being a little pillock, sometimes seems wise; for the simple reason that he usually accepts, and refers to, the little wooden idol as Under 5…

      Good boy.

  23. A dizzy looking fella appeared on ZBNC TV. The headlines ”Polisi in Lukasa are pursuing three REB officials for increasing the price of fuel”. The fugitives whom the polisi have described as highly dangerous are believed to belong to the opposition UDPN. It is also believed that the UDPN in a named province has bought all the fuel in the country in order to cause a shortage and to increase the prices of the commodity. The chief gabana spooksman has meanwhile assured the people that the gabana will soon be making fuel from water in all the provinces.

  24. Actually UPND was going to make it even worse because HH was going to go further and remove even the subsidies at once.

On the 10th of October 2016, speaking from the veranda at his home, HH castigated the government for subsidising energy.

Remember that when purchasing the commodity, govt has to convert kwacha to dollar, and then sell back home in kwacha.

Now, where the exchange rate move upwards…

    • @Peace for Zambia. You are right. We remember all this. The truth is they use any bad news as opportunity to scare the innocent into believing their lies that HH would have resolved all economic matters with a wave of a wand stick!

    • Failing companies and failing football clubs change management.

You want us to belive the same failed management with the same failed polices will save zambia ?

  25. what is worrisome is to hear them say increments will be gradual. that being the case, lets expect two more increments. God help us

  26. It is a matter of time! Things will come back to normal.I believe God is on top of the matter&will help our leaders to get us out of this economic crisis. Ecl I believe you can still do it and get us back on track economically, keep your head up ecl because the journey to success may not always be smoother but have some huddles, let them talk&condemn but we’ll recover soon so viva ecl&pf.

    • Yes, kneel down, clasp your hands together, close your eyes and pray to your white Jesus…he will sort out the economy!!

    • Aba bambi bola naikosa…..anyway, we are Zambians. Some slogans awemwandi we were in DON’T KUBEBA 2de we are in DUNUNA REVERSE.

  27. I hope the bus and taxi operators will increase fares tomorrow. Nobody should intimidate them or tell them to wait for government to give permission. They should not subsidies govt. Water, electricity follows next week. Please increase the price of everything, I have a lot of money to spend. I dont want my shanty relatives to ask me to buy them mealie meal.

    • This is why Lungu cowered away from Public Debate during elections as he didnt want to be cornered on these issues ….he just wanted to lie to cadres about rapid Infrastructure development which was overpriced and has got us in this mess.

  28. Guys,
Tomorrow mark a step change in Zambia. LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!
Next to go up will be electricity tariff.
    Not to mention school fees.
    Medical expenses.
    The Kwacha will be devalued.
A once beautiful country…IS FINALLY RUINED!

  29. It’s grobo don’t worry…..in the mean time sontapo HH as we were told.

That is why lungu hates HH and is so afraid of him so much.

UPND made them spend money they did not have. PF bankrupted the economy fighting UPND…..including 1.5 billion ZKW from toll gates gone missing.

Eehhhhh lungu, even those ministers who were campaining for you illigally using public funds were stealing.

It that why you can’t produce a budget. All your numbers don’t add up. You have spent the lot.

Carry on dancing dunduna and calling prayers.

  30. The adjustment in prices was inevitable but ERB should also cut out the many middle men! What’s wrong with these people. Clearly they are not very clever. First clear out the middlemen so that if the price has to go up, it won’t be by a wide margin. ECL is surrounded be people that are more interested in thier pockets more than the masses.

  31. The trick to IMF programs lies in Bilateral agreements. It’s funding from them that cushions the hardships. But everybody knows that the Western Diplomats preferred HH in power for further assistance from them. But now, they have no interest in the Zambian situation.Things will be rough indeed…

  32. Its amazing how at every turn of events, HH is mentioned. Instead of having an economic plan or blueprint to stabilize the economy and produce wealth, PF cadres can only claim unashamedly and without any sensible reason or evidence, that HH would have been worse. Still burying your heads in the sand. You think an economy resolves itself? You spend recklessly and share the spoils and say ‘fyalaisolva’ or divert peoples attention by mentioning HH at every turn. The most alarming thing in all of this, for any reasonable person to see, is that PF have no clue as to where they are meant to take Zambia. Dancing to a stupid song like ‘dununa reverse’ is not a plan. People did not think (including Lungu) about what next, after they had danced themselves to a daze.

  33. My comment to this is that it’s only a foolish person who can further entrust someone who has already put you in a mess – let’s wait until electricity tariffs go up – I hope those who love this headless Lungu will again pour out into the streets to celebrate these developments

  34. Sorry for U5, there are no votes for you here. The fact is that Zambians just do not trust you, too much of a risk given that we do not know where you stand on issues, no principles at all. Today ati prices of energy are too.low tomorrow ati mwamona balunda imitengo ya mafuta. U5 for you.

By the way has he not been arrested for sedition yet?

    • That’s why Zambia will end up like Zimbabwe with people like u Terrible supporting mi governance & corrupt leaders like your Lungu – by the way since u have faith in him, where’s the cheap fuel he promised?

  35. When fuel prices are increased, it is ERB behind it but when it is a downward adjustment, then its Government reducing the price. We lost it!

  36. The economy is as it is, we need to rebuild it and there will be costs associated with that whether the President of Zambia IS Edgar Chagwa Lungu or IT WAS underfive tenderpreneur HH. And I have more faith in Edgar handling my affairs than in HH. Imagine if the president was HH, I am certain that he would seeing personal business opportunities than looking at us all. Thank God he will NEVER be our President, they can keep him as president of UPND until he is 88 years old, I will not shed a tear.

    • And lungu is looking to add more to his unexplained $2.3 million he acquired in 1 year while the rest of the country was going bankrupt

  37. Don’t worry Zambians, all will be well, don’t pay attention to these good for nothing noise makers who only wish evil for us their brethren.

Starting from the last campaigns up to now no one knows what they stand for, except wanting one liar to be president just his personal ego. And then they are surprised when they lose elections.

  38. We told you that when a person gets sick you involve a Doctor to heal that person and when you have broken car get the service of a mechanic to repair it. But foolish Zambians got a witch doctor from Malawi to repair our economy. The whole economy wana gona lungula now starting from today. The imishindos like Terrible and peace for amafi will not be affected because they are enjoying un retired imprests,un counted for expenditures and all other forms of thieving with Patrick in eastern province and other Pro failure strong holds.

  39. Zambian people are always worried, that is why they voted for the opposition, but the big balls like peace for anus and Terrible ass stole our votes. The Pfools culture of theft as you have seen in the Auditor General’s report does not only end in funds pilferage, it involves every thing including votes. Otherwise we shall embrace our selves for putting monkeys in our maize field.

  40. I totally agree with some who are calling for removal of unnecessary handling in the name of middle men if it is true they have a part in the sharp rise in the price of commodities. It should have been applied gradually.

    • Don’t worry much, it will be done gradually. This is tough reality but it is necessary. As I said earlier ‘This is reality and it is ok, time to work extra hard now and HARNESS, EXPLOIT and PROFIT from our resources’ (I was listening to Rev. Walter Mwambazi on radio last evening as I lined up to fill my 80L car fuel tank for brief relief before ‘mid-night tonight’)

  41. The kaponyas are wondering how more than half of zambians voted for HH.

Most zambians who voted for him looked at his cv. He is a successfull business man.

As for lungu on his cv before politics he represented criminals like fawaaz and did not win a single case.
Also what stands out on his cv is his conviction for fraud.

  42. pf cadres mulebelenga its not long ago that hh told govenment not to remove subsdies , but the pf theives didnt know what to do . and now they are cought in their nets , that is why you cant even give your vp proper information to use in parliament. things were going to be far much better for this five years . we pray that the situation gets reversed in the courts of laws so that we prove to you what we mean.

Ministers who are going to China on a…

  43. Is this the first time fuel prices go up? If anything, there is too much traffic on the road and this increase will to some extent reduce congestion. Vehicles will be will be able to move in high gear thereby reducing high fuel consumption. This means saving on the gas bills…so nomba nishi

  44. Dununa reverse well done keep it up,more things to come when is the next presidential general election.(ndeloleshafye).

  45. This is better than having a tribal president in state house. Well far much better than having a satanist in state house. I mean it it nothing people lets just adjust accordingly.
I mean its better than having a bitter person in state house.

    • you are stupid. if i were near you i could have slapped you. who is tribal btn u and the person u re talking about. the fact is u. your heart knows better. dont pretend. this affects us all. this is the reason y pipo say that even sound societies have foolish and mad pipo. u re such a one

  46. Flash back…

President Lungu’s economic diplomacy has continued yielding results. He is currently in Saudi Arabia where he is signing big deals that include:

    1. Construction of a mordern maternal and paediatric hospital. This initiative started under Dr. Kaseba. Madam Esther Lungu picked it up and now it is being finalised.

    2. Oil deals which will see the cost of fuel go down to as low as K5. 5. per litre. Negotiations have been going on and finally the deal will be signed……

Add also 500 000 jobs lungu was to create in 2016….

There you have it pipo. Don’t belive not a single word PF say……

  47. We warned you Lungu and PF lot do not care about Zambia. They just want to get rich fast and move abroad, join Zambians in diaspora. Zambia is now broke and don’t blame HH and GBM
Dununa reverse! Sonta po! This is just the beginning

Zambia is down on her knees in crippling debt
SOLWEZI LET US DANCE TO DUNUNA REVERSE WITH THE MONKEYS

  48. Zambia has one of the highest Fuel Prices in the world now .In a country with high unemployment rate , high poverty rate and a few exports this is an obvious recipe for disaster.

  49. @Chosen one
Point is correction: UPND won the election 11/08/16 and not PF. The methodological approach to doing things between UPND and PF is way apart. While UPND uses knowledge and skills PF uses copying tactics from failed states like Zimbabwe and Uganda, moreover, copying blindly as to why those countries are involved in crude national management.

  50. ABA BAMBI BOLA NAIKOSA. dununa. all *****s play their football backward. this is when we see our foolishness in voting Lungu and PF. more is coming. Adam and Eve after eating the fruity, we are told, their eyes opened are saw that they were naked. Are your eyes opened after elections? some i know regret for voting based on tribal just because HH is Tonga. i have all PF songs and i will play them loud to remind everyone. Dununa and Chikonko mwikate are danceable this time. more to come including higher food prices, cement, transport, and even prostitutes U enjoyed bafikala.
