Minister of Foreign Affairs, Harry Kalaba says President Lungu will join his counterparts from the COMESA region to discuss ways of regional integration and enhanced industrialization among other issues.

He says the Plan is expected to contribute to structural transformation of the economies of the COMESA member States to foster overall economic development of the member States through trade, investment and regional infrastructure.
Mr. Kalaba also disclosed that the Chinese Yuan and the Indian Rupee will be included in the Regional Payment and Settlement System operated by the COMESA Clearing House as a mode of payments to enhance trade.
He said this in a statement made available to ZNBC News in Lusaka.
And COMES Secretary General Sindiso Ngwenya said the regional body has among other things established trade information desks dotted around major conflict areas to provide the necessary support to traders mostly women and youths.
Mr. Ngwenya said COMESA has also established an electronic early warning system that provides information about the various conflicts in the region to make the business community aware of safe areas as well as areas prone to conflict.
