Bailiffs yesterday morning pounced on Mushipe and Associates a law firm belonging to UPND lawyer Martha Mushipe for allegedly failing to pay rentals.

A ZNBC news crew that rushed to the scene found bailiffs removing office furniture and equipment.

One bailiff said the law firm has accumulated rental arrears of 14 000 dollars and 15 000 kwacha.

Efforts to reach Mrs. Mushipe for a comment failed as she could NOT be accessed from her office.

Journalists were blocked from entering the office by a firm’s employee.

A visibly annoyed secretary at the law firm said Mrs. Mushipe would only talk to the media after the case is dealt with by the courts of law.

  1. Don’t say it’s political. The owner of building also needs to eat. Please pay up before your katundu is auctioned.

  2. We can’t have a situation in the country where greedy lawyers earn billions (old Kwacha) from high profile cases of misguided Under 5 petitioners of the election. Yet they don’t want to pay their rentals. Good work bailiffs. Put this menstrual minion in her place.

    • Kudos, may the maggots & termites finish you off. We can’t have useless dead people talking rubbish on this platform for eternity. I wonder why LT entertains this guy

    • “Tough times are not an excuse for failure to pay debt. If you have no capacity, then don’t borrow.”

      @Spark Jarrow,

PLEASE CC YOUR MESSAGE TO LUNGU, CHIKWANDA, MUTATI AND THE REST OF THE PF!

14,000 DOLLARS? PF has borrowed TEN BILLION DOLLARS!

    • @truth, Is it Lungu whose rentals have not been paid by Martha? Come on you can do better than that, unless you’re saying all those who owe other people money should not repay because government has borrowed 10b $? If you have no sensible defense it’s better wai kalafye

  3. things are tough in Zambia under Lungu. everyone is failing to pay his or her debt. GRZ is worse. the whole Zambia can now be repossessd by the IMF or some overseas or local banks

    • Tough times are not an excuse for failure to pay debt. If you have no capacity, then don’t borrow. In any case these were not accumulated under Edgar. Explanation is that Mushipe had hoped Upnd were going to win and no one was going to touch her

  4. I failed to pay for repairs of a truck I damaged. My goods were seized and auctioned off. I was district Secretary of FDD at the time Mwanawasa had become president so can I also say it was either hard times or political?

  5. What goes around comes around. Gaddafi was a notorious man but he died like a rat even calling himself stupid. Mobutu, Bagbo, are just but a few examples. What makes Edgar Lungu think that he is different and he will get away with what he is doing? Time flies and it won’t be long Lungu will soon find himself eating his vomit and kak. Let us wait and see

    • Gaddafi was very good to his people and it’s because of his anti American stance the US over threw him. The result is that Libya will never know peace again. Coming to the Post, victimized or otherwise, Mmembe could not be in this shiit if he kept his hands uncontaminated.

  6. Nothing developmental apart from politically motivated harassment of citizens having different views of governance. People are living on zero dollar per day shame on PF kafulumende. And the most affected are PF supporters who were expecting favourable support from their government

  7. I’m a Bemba by tribe according to my research we are being used by the people from eastern province and we are busy insulting our brothers in southern province. we need to work up we are sleeping. look today a percentage of people who have been appointed are from eastern province. in fact those people they did not help us in all elections in the history of Zambia we have been having. Chiluba was not voted for they voted for UNIP Kaunda from Malawi same to Sata they voted for MMD because of Rupia Banda. If I take you back during election between Sata and Rupia after the death of Mwanawasa. Rupia was preaching to the people of Eastern Province that wako ni wako meaning your tribe’s people is your people again he did the same this year to Edger Lungu. why is that Rupia and Kaunda is…

    • Complete rubbish. You don’t hear Bemba’s going round and claiming what tribe they are. YOU ARE A MASQUERADING NICOMPOOP. STOP PLAYING TRIBAL ISSUES ALL THE TIME!!!!!

    • Tell him people
He’s the type that plays one card during the day and a different one at night. We’ve all put tribe sentiments behind and here’s a primitive who wants to take us back to Stone Age.

  8. @nichchanda, Your ideas have nothing to do with the general Bemba thinking. You may just be mascarading as a Bemba. We know this type of propaganda.

  9. @nichchanda, what has the liquidation of the post got to do with Bemba tribe? Why are you so obsessed with tribe? To be frank you are not even bemba my friend you are just exposing your inferiority complex.

  10. Now this photo confirms how ugly this beach is. Ugly thighs can never carry a beautiful face. Imposible! Now am waiting to see the cat

  11. THOSE WHO LIVE BY THE SWORD, DIE BY THE SWORD. THIS BITCH STIRRED UP THE WHOLE OF MULUNGUSHI CONFERENCE CENTRE DURING THE ELECTIONS. SHE CAUSED HELL FOR JUDGES AND RESPONDENT LAWYERS DURING THE CONCONF HEARINGS, YET SHE HASNT GOT ONE NGWEE TO PAY HER RENTALS. WHAT A SHAME FOR UNDER FIVE AND HIS PIMP FAT ALBERT. FIRST, IT WAS CANICIOUS BANDA, NEXT ITS KAKOMA, NOW ITS MUSHIPE. WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ZAMBIA, HAD UNDER FIVE WON,, ARE THESE THE PEOPLE WHO WERE GOING TO GOVERN ZAMBIA WITH THEIR THIEVING PRESIDENT, WHO STOLE LIQUIDATION MONEY FROM LIMA BANK AND RAMCOZ. SHAME ON UNDER FIVE.

  12. Malita lelo you have wept! Dry your tears you know we lost the election. I still remember as the PVT lit up we were all confused we didn’t understand why people could vote in the manner they had. When we the fly on the wall tried to speak about the populist vote in Southern you chanted us down. Today we sent our friends to visit mwaliteta he is not doing too well but he will live. Our outgoing losing presidential candidate HH has retreated we will see if he can receive us so that you can help pay rentals for your offices or better still find you an office to use against your legal fees. Next we are going to appear with you at LAZ for your candor before the CC judges…2021 Zambia forward

  13. @14, WHAT THIS BITCH NEDS IS DONATIONS FROM YOU AND UNDER FIVE TO HELP HER PAY HR RENTALS. THE WARRANT OF DISTRESS IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF MISERY FOR HER. NEXT, SHE WILL BE ARRAIGNED IN COURT IN A CIVIL MATTER WHEN THE LANDLORD TAKES HIS CASE TO COURT TO RECOVER $14,000 AND K15,000. THESE ARE NOT SMALL AMOUNTS, WITH INTEREST, IT WILL BE BILLIONS OF KWACHA. SAD AS IT MAY BE, ITS A GOOD ENDING TO A FOUL MOUTHED TART.

  14. Am sure she will prove her capability as a lawyer. May be the other earlier case before the constitution court was rather big and tricky for her. NEVER GIVE UP!

  15. Someone reported that every Upnd official Martha rang had one or another excuse on why they could not help. Eventually their phones were either switched off or went unanswered.

  16. NSTEAD OF ENGAGING IN ENDLESS COMMENTS ON THIS PAGE WHY DONT YOU TAONGA TRIBESMEN OF HERS SONKA AND BAIL HR OUT. YOUR UNDER FIVE CLAIMS TO BE VERY RICH, ASK HIM TO HELP HER.
