President Lungu sends a condolence message to the family of the late Masha Moyo

President Edgar Lungu sent a message of condolences to the family of the late Masha Moyo saing that he has learnt with deep sorrow the untimely passing away of Ms Irene Hlekiwe Marsha Moyo, a renowned icon in the arts locally and internationally.

President Lungu has said Ms Moyo’s distinguished contribution to the field of arts, gender equality advocacy and the marketing of the country’s tourism sector as lifetime Zambia’s Tourism Ambassador shall greatly be missed.

The President has prayed that the family will find comfort and strength in the Almighty God during this difficult period.

“On behalf of the Zambian Government and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathies to the Moyo family on this tragic loss. We mourn with you on this tragic loss,” the President said.

This is contained in the statement released to the media by State House.

  1. I send my condolences too. Any death of a human being before 100 yrs is a great loss. On a similar note, did Lungu and his PF police apologise and compensate the parents of Mapenzi?

    • I wonder why some people see politics in everything, what has this article to do with politics kanshi mwebantu?? sometimes its better not to comment if you don’t have anything sensible to say.

  2. It’s obvious that we have adopted the western lifestyle.Vitenjes have become old-fashioned nowadays at funerals,particularly funerals for prominent people in society.Vuzungu vunabwela!
