Zanaco have shifted focus to Saturday’s Barclays Cup final against Zesco United after winning the 2016 FAZ Super Division title on Wednesday.

The Bankers will be looking forward to winning their maiden Barclays Cup when they face four-time winners Zesco at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Zanaco coach Mumamba Numba has declared that time is ripe for his Sunset outfit to win the competition.

“I think it will be another exciting game because we have never won the Barclays. Cup before,” Numba said.

“I think we want it more than Zesco want it because they have won it several times,” he noted.

Zesco won the cup in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2014 before they were ousted by Nkwazi last season.

Zanaco last reached the Barclays Cup final in 2010 when they lost 2-0 to Zesco United

“This is the only chance we have to win it. We will try hard to win it,” Numba concluded.

Zesco and Zanaco’s two league meeting this season have ended in draws.
