Solwezi residents demand the truth about Solwezi-Chingola road

Solwezi -Chingola road

Solwezi residents have called on the PF government to be truthful on the construction of the Solwezi-Chingola road as they have suffered long enough.

The residents who spoke through their headman said they have lost confidence in the promises from government because they have been fed with the same rhetoric for a whole term but that no progress has been seen on the road.

Headman Kofwakofwa of Kimena Village which is along the same road was at loss of words to explain the difficulties that people in the area have been going through when bringing in goods and services to his area.

He said the road connects the province to the rest of the country but has been neglected further wondering if the people in the province are second class citizens who don’t deserve a better roads.

He said the road is a major contributor to the country’s economy as it the road which is used to transport all the copper as well as other commodities coming from North Western Province. Intact 50 percent of Zambias copper has to go through that road.

God will surely punish these guys for making his people suffer so helplessly,he said

  1. IT IS SO ANNOYING INDEED!! INSTEAD MAKING ROADS in SANDY DAMBOS were people do not even appreciate they NEGLECT WHERE THE MONEY TO RUN THE ECONOMY IS COMING FROM and where PEOPLE ARE TOLERANT and accommodating ! I AM NOT FROM NW but as a ZAMBIA I ALSO FEEL HURT TO SEE THE NEGLECT ON THIS ROAD and the number of LIES THAT HAVE BEEN TOLD. PF HAS NO POLITICAL STRATEGY; INSTEAD BRING NW ON BOARD THEY STILL KEEP POURING MONEY in UNGRATEFUL WESTERN and SOUTHERN PROVINCES instead PRIOTIZING a more ETHNICALLY DIVERSE and LESS RADICAL NW!! GOOD PROJECTS IN NW and CB RURAL CAN PUT PF on far BETTER FOOTING FOR 2021 ELECTIONS BUT….aweee sure !!

    • So how did they know that what they have is false information?

Or is it that they have no information now they want some information?

      What truth don’t they have?

And when you say the people of Solwezi, how many are those people?

    • I would like to be sincere here as a staunch die hard PF blogger!
With all honesty the current road works that are underway are for the complete construction of the road, not just resurfacing which is why it is taking long so residents of the area must try and understand, lasty the corporate mining world have now also got on board to fix the roads seeing they are the ones responsible for damaging these roads. .
Mr President sir, let’s hear the pleas of the people- let’s do aways with expensive luxury SUVs those huge bills to buy such vehicles could be used on such road works as this.

    • Yes, indeed, our President is a listening man. With his royal humbleness, he will just listen – and do nothing. That’s Lungu for you.

    • @Bwafyaa: here is a short explainer for you. If you convince enough people in SP and WP, then you have most of the people on your side. If you convince any group of people in NWP, you only have a third of the people on your side. NWP has the most diverse ethnic groups in Zambia who may not necessarily like each other (Dealing with Luvales and Lundas in Zambezi is like running a kindergarten). Even 3 out of the 7 languages on national radio come from this one province. Yet it is the least densely populated area in Zambia. To help you, PF are wising up to the law of diminishing returns – in NWP, they get the least whack out of every fart they produce.

    • Enough is enough, it is time for North Westerners to pick up arms and defend their sovereinity. I t is a fact that this government does not care about the development in North Western province. It was like this in Sudan, southern Sudan had to ignite for its independence. What are the people of north western province waiting for? They have everything, all the resources are in the province. Rise up North Westerners, the time has come. If it means going in Jiundu do it, it it means destroying strategic links to the province, do it. Your land is rich in everything so why worry? You are not second class citizens. Rise up and stand together. There will be no better time than now to claim your independence.

    • The fo.ols are miner owners FQM, Lumwana & Kalumbila!

Why keep on paying taxes to Gov that can’t improve people’s welfare esp for an area where they raise most mining taxes?

Close your mines or stop paying taxes, they’ll respond in no time!

People are already used to suffering so it will a little downward adjustment in their lives but major blow to the ChipantePante government.

    • Bwafya I salute you. Looking at the comments from peace of Zambia you can tell he’s still a child. Do know how much money comes from NWP into government coffers and being used on other projects? If you have no idea about the subject you lose nothing by keeping quiet and inquire where NWP stands on the Zambian map.

    • People like you are the reason why this country has a President that travels every week while pretending to be humble. Like or not, Western and Southern Provinces have been neglected far longer than your preferred provinces. So sit down.

    • Eeish, bwafyaa is an *****, the mongu-kalabo road in Western province is a strategic development as it ends in kalabo near angola …so, eventually zambia and angola will be joined and boost trade and development between the two nations. angola has wealth, all we need is a direct road connection to it. Bwafyaa, you are *****.

  2. Those are the benefits of voting for HH and his MPs as all HH and his team know is criticing Govnt instead of helping in solving our problems!!!but since PF has a listening president in ECL,in 2017 that road will be done.its a pity that HH’s petitions deleyed the works on this road because if contractors moved on site few days after 11/08/2016,the most affected area on this road could have been finished by now.but since works were deleyed by the man they voted for via his petitions, solwezi residents will only enjoy good results in 2017 because of the rains now.

    • Like skinless head here is yet another *****!! For once be objective, have you ever used the road in question!? We all know its a cash cow for the elite in government. Year in Year out its under construction!

    • @Njimbu – you axhead! A petition that has not even lasted 3 months in 2016 is the reason why PF has not sorted out this road in 6 years! What type of life is that?

    • They are still owing contractors money. They as a government have no funds, so how do you expect anything to move. Even the Chinese won’t move unless you pay them via barter ie natural resource or land.

    • ***** njimbu.
Do u know your government is even scared of losing NWP?
its why they have put up cameras at Solwezi river bridge and Lunga. We are aware and wait ….just wait.
We are not just sitted. you will be shocked

    • There is a very old saying which goes; ‘A quiet dog is the most dangerous animal in the jungle because it pounces when least expected’
Mark my word, North Western does not need Zambia but rather Zambia needs North Western.
If there was a place and reason that Mushala rose to express the voices of many in NWP, there will be one and and a place for another to rise and speak for many North Westerners. A good people taken for a ride.

  3. No one should really expect real progress from PF, a political party that celebrates going in reverse.

The past five years is evidence enough.

    • One Zed: please everything is not going in reverse. Wait and see what will happen if Solwezi road in 2017. And I want all you issuing negative statements to come back on this same post and say something.

    • One Zed: please everything is not going in reverse. Wait and see what will happen to Solwezi road in 2017. And I want all of you issuing negative statements to come back on this same post and say something.

  4. Here is the truth: PF do not give a monkey’s for development in NWP. They will never get enough votes from you. They spent $10 billion on roads going nowhere in Lusaka and Copperbelt and 3 universities in Muchinga because that is where their supporters are. PF will squeeze all resources out of NWP to develop other provinces. Remember how Sata and Chimbwili called you “namazai”? That’s the result. No respect, no compassion for you as fellow Zambians, just good for abuse and exploitation.

    • very inferior really when a person insults his own tribe so as to lure people against people who never said what he is purporting. you are a liar when did Sata and Kambwili say that.

    • @Truth, back tooth is so hateful of other tribes outside the “alliance ” that he blames a 50 years problem on Edgar. The works are in progress but because a road can’t just “drop ” like wild fruits, it will take time and suffering. We’ve had six presidents and no efforts have been made until now. Please my headman just a big of your royal patience will help.

    • You are either a PF propagandist or a child who should not be on this site. These insults were Sata’s staple before he became President. Chimbwili took up the same clarion call in 2010 in Luanshya. When people who originate from NWP protested at the civic centre, Chimbwili followed them there and continued to shout at and insult them. If you missed these stories, ask the liquidator who now controls the Post archives. You cannot rewrite history. That’s why Sata never campaigned in NWP in 2011. He had utter contempt for people from there.

  5. So how did they know that what they have is false information?

Or is it that they have no information now they want some information?

    What truth don’t they have?

And when you say the people of Solwezi, how many are those people?

  6. what truth are you searching for when the truth is painted all over this that the PF lied to you kikiki wake up bane

  7. On top of lying to you, PF even stole your votes. Basically people wasted their time standing in long queues because a few foolish inbred dogs in the pf couldnt accept defeat. That ka khoi-khoi looking man called lungu is a crooked slimey chap. Please can any one pf supporter here tell me what has improved in their lives since that mbeba lungu stole the votes

  8. On top of lying to you, PF even stole your votes. Basically people wasted their time standing in long queues because a few imbecilic inbred dogs in the pf couldnt accept defeat. That ka khoi-khoi looking man called lungu is a crooked slimey chap. Please can any one pf supporter here tell me what has improved in their lives since that mbeba lungu stole the votes

  9. @NEZ:and how could our lives been improved had your kalusa hh won?nothing.all we could have observed is tonga being spoken in all govnt offices!!!you will once more line up on queues in 2021 voting for hh in 3 and half provinces for nothing because us majority voters in 6 and half provinces have shown you on 5 occassions that we shall never vote for hh.but since you dont listen, you will keep on fielding the same rejected hh on upnd and keep on losing.in 2015 you cheated yourselves that since hh lost with 27 000 votes,in 2016 he will win but this figures increased to more than 100 000 votes on 11/08/2016-just imagine!!!upnd cannot be fielding a rejected hh and hope to win-its impossible!!

    • @Njimbu: are you happier that you are forced to speak Bemba in govt offices instead of Tonga? Your theory about Tonga is mere theory, conjecture even, but having to speak Bemba is your daily reality. You should gnash your teeth daily because Bembas will not want to learn Luvale or Kaonde or Lunda. Get over being conquered.

    • Frustrated PF cadre scared of your own shadow.
Zambia shall soon be liberated from such evil thinking coz the issue now about fighting poverty not your tribal failed innuendos.

Your Tribalism will not earn you a cent but anger & envy while Tonga move on with economic ventures.

  10. Yes indeed let’s do something about this road, it looks like colonial era. Unfortunately I wonder what can be done when the heavy rains are with us as we see in the picture. But what have we been doing all these years?
Sorry I am not asking UPNDonkeys comments if they still believe that HH is the only person who thinks.

    • Good question to ask yourself: “But what have we been doing all these years?” Introspection is a good thing for greedy and selfish bigots like you lot. Six years you have been in power and you have done nothing for people of NWP and you think you deserve their votes? Yet you have tarred every back alley in Chawama!

  11. Now people are beginning to wake up from their docility…just today the Govt has released funds for stalled delayed road projects to contractors, now which construction company is going to resume building roads at this time of the year. Funds meant for this road has been misappropriated to other areas even the contribution from FQM will be just go to pay delay costs…

  12. You don’t know what to take from these small upndonkeys, not too long ago during the campaigns, their only “thinker” asked whether Zambians will eat roads. Now they want good roads?

  13. Hmmmm… Why should it take the simple headman to speak on the behalf of people in Solwezi and where is their Mp they voted for? Please, don’t waste your time crying foul when you know the person you voted for.

  14. Already their Upnd mp they voted for has disappeared. The headman has taken up the role to speak on behalf of the solwezi people wow. If you wanted that road to done you would’ve voted for Pf not Upnd which told you that you can’t eat roads. Now you see the devo is a liar. Never trust hh.

    • I can point to the slum of Kanyama which is supposed to have voted for PF. But the same people were dying of cholera this same year. The filthy roads are disgusting. And houses deplorable. So who benefits from voting for PF? Definitely not the Kanyama slum dwellers. So why should NWP vote for PF?

  15. You said you can’t eat roads and have never appreciated the PF government so go ahead and petition your U5 to provide oxen for you, they don’t need roads.

  16. then stop getting resources from NWP.the country now depend on our Godly given wealthy, why not EP,MP,NP,LP but u run hunger from yo provinces to come and work in our provinces and u are insulting us again.just wait we get military weapon from our neigbour and see the way u ll beg us north westerners to sit and reason together.we also know war.keep on insulting us,we are not like tongas u keep bulling, some of u don’t know /heard what war is but we are brave guys and we have many men in zed arm/zed police/zns.u may hav plan a we may hav plan b.

  17. By the way people should not think that this is the first time mining is taking place in NWP. There was Kansanshi and Kalengwa and yet both the Colonial and Unip governments never bothered to make permanent roads there. At least now people are now discussing the issue and government has started to do something. Of course the road won’t just come “abragadara “. I feel for the people who have to use this road frequently.

    • Your logic (more lack thereof) is flawed. So NWP cannot be improved because the colonialists and Unip never developed the Province? In any case the scale of mining then was nothing compared to what is happening now. Even for lining the coffers that your relatives are plundering, not developing the roads in NWP will limit how much they can steal from there. Or you want to keep the copper in the ground for our descendants?

    • Again you twist things. Mine are not theories but facts. At no time did I say what you’re putting in my mouth. My point is that we should not start looking for scapegoats but for a way forward. Just a month ago three ministers had taken an on the spot inspection of the road. To me this a positive sign. But hater you’re, you will still condemn this. I supported HH on his statement on Zesco because he made sense. But this didn’t mean I can vote for him.

    • PF has no capacity to make roads after looting the treasury, the next 5yrs will be the most difficult in the history of Zambia.Last 5yrs was much easier for them because there was money to steal and it united them, what will unite them now.Wear your sit belts we are entering a bumpy area.Even if PF got 100yrs there is no major road they will do,chapwa.

  18. 95% of the the country’s GDP comes from N/W Rhodesia, yet 75% of infrastructural development projects are being diverted to NE Rhodesia

    1. Copper & Emerald Mines are in NWR
    2. Electricity Power Generation plants are in NWR
    3. Sugar production is in NWR
    4. Chirundu border is in NWR
    5. Tourism is in NWR
    6. Forestry is in NWR
    7. Fisheries in NWR

It was a grave mistake for the British to join NWR to NER in 1911. Imagine how wealthy we would be with a population of only 4million & having capable leaders like H. M. Nkumbula, L. Mwanawasa, A. Mazoka & HH instead of crooked ones from NER like FTJ, Sata, Banda, Lungu, Kambwili. We r really cursed with NER.

    • Today we have an massive influx of economic refugees from NER. They’ve bred like guinea pigs in Lusaka compounds & copperbelt mine townships. Just take a drive to any compund in Lsk of Cbelt & see the massive population of the poverty-striken NER children.

Their leaders are doing nothing to reduce the population explosion

    • This is the sad part of democracy. I am all for realigning these African countries that were drawn up by some German clerks at the 1884 Berlin Conference who had never set foot in Africa. Countries like Zambia are doomed to failure due to culture clashes. The chaotic, thieving northerners versus the ingratiating easterners versus the long term southern farmers versus the administrative-minded westerners form a toxic mix that is bound to collapse in chaos and bloodshed. The prospects for a prosperous Zambia are quite dim. And if you think Zambia has problems just look at DRC or Zimbabwe! Us Africans should gift ourselves the right to redraw our boundaries and be co-citizens with people we can stand and embrace. Otherwise, we are doomed to be colonised by feckless indolent tribes that are…

    • It is the chaos that northerners bring that one hates the most. They are over here, loudmouthed, domineering and abuse democracy to insinuate themselves in everything from church to politics to public life. Truly these people should have been in Congo where they belong. This place would be much happier.

  19. mulusa protested by walking from chingola to solwezi on foot because of this bad road but nothing was achieved and today is quiet enjoying as a cabinet minister in pf

  20. NW province is serious prayer and fasting. This province has been neglected from independence, its not only PF but all the governments. we need to drive out the demon of poverty and under development.

  21. There we go: Five(5) international Presidential trips in a single month!!And the Solwezi-Chingola road is still a very long way before completion. Did the President go to those countries to lobby for funds to complete that road? I don’t think so.I hear the IMF warned this country that the way we are running our economy if we are not careful we will crash this country into pieces.

  22. Who stopped the Chingola Solwezi railroad project? Levy because he had differed with Kavindele. Who stopped the CEC from constructing a hydro power station in NWP? Levy because he didn’t love someone at CEC

    • The planed railway in NW should come sooner that later in order to protect the road infrastructure by shifting heavy cargo to rail.

  23. Fellow Zambians let’s debate sensibly lets not instill any sense of hate in the minds of NW’ers. The issue of the Chingola/Solwezi Road is a complex one and mind you it has mainly to do with the design. The design was delayed because the Architect changed it to suit the amount of heavy traffic that uses it, and mainly it is the 3 mines that should take the blame. FQM, Lumwana and Kalumbila are the main users of the road and ONLY FQM is seen to at least maintain it for the past 7 years at their cost. The people of NWP should also engage Lumwana as well and not only government, these guys have been taking Zambian people for granted for such a long time and have gone scot free. Insulting Lungu won’t change anything at the moment we need a lasting solution going forward.

  24. MINES ARE THE MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR TOWARDS THE STATE OF THIS ROAD.LET THEM COME ON BOARD AND HELP OUT FOR THEIR PRODUCTS THEY ARE TAKING OUT THE COUNTRY TO MOVE WELL.IT SAD I FEEL FOR OUR PEOPLE MWACHULA KWENA

  25. Robins & Acemoglu: “Why Nations Fail”. It has never been about money, resources, or smarts!! It is a governance issue! Those historical facts are so compelling it is not even funny. You can relate a governance system in Africa to one in South America and Asia and the outcomes of their economic and educational capacities amongst other things are very, very similar. Zambia is just one of those pathetic cases in point. Stop this micro-blogging non.sense and save your country from mediocrity once and for all!!!!

  26. misplaced priorities is the order of the day for this government ,they don’t know how and when to invest in to projects which will benefit the entire country.it is a Banana Republic for real .

  27. [email protected] any country if something is wrong it all starts with leadership. The development of any country depends on leadership. Leadership is ACTION, not just undertaking foreign trips and walking on red carpets. Didn’t you see how Mwanawasa worked to revive our economy in 2008 when the dollar appreciated tremendously? Items(including imported items)became very cheap. Almost everybody was smiling. This PF government is the worst mistake Zambians have ever made.

    • @Political Analyst…I think you’re being personal. Give us a solution other than condemning the current leadership. We might have made a mistake as Zambians but unfortunately we have to live with it until 2021, so where do go from here. Let’s be proactive in all we do and say and let’s criticize constructively and give some form of advice.

  28. This Patriotic Front Government has committed an economical genocide on God’s Humble People of North Western.

Those of you bloggers, talking ama**fi here must shut your fu**king mouths! This road is used by everyone include the tribalists poking shi**t above.

We are tired of this nons**sesnse!

  29. This is the problem of recognizing people based on talent or mineral resources. The suffering being experienced by the NWP is nothing but a historical stigma of regarding them as low class citizens, only best described as the SAMAZAI’s, (toilet cleaners). This was common in the CB Province. To the extent my people from NWP had to abandon even communicating in their indigenous vernaculars, to survive the humiliation and choose to communicate in Bemba, even when they are in their respective homes. Today the likes of Bwafaa above want to sympathize with NWP, because it is the major contributor to the GDP of the country. Where is your conscious, when you fail to condemn the belittling of other tribes and elevating yourselves to be superior than others?? Where is your conscious when you fail…

  30. to condemn the decision of your deceased PF president to build 3 universities in the province of his own people and neglect to construct even a modern high school in NWP?? But you are here allowing your hypocrisy condemn develop in WP and SP?? Which route do you think the same copper has to go through in order to exported to the outside world??? Is it not through WP to Walvis Bay port in Namibia and SP to the same port or Durban. So yo conscious vibrates when WP and SP are given the chance to develop because of your natural hatred for people from these provinces. These provinces are very strategic to the economic survival of the nation just as equally important is NWP. Get the wisdom MUCHINGA MONKEY.

  31. to condemn the decision of your deceased PF president to build 3 universities in the province of his own people and neglect to construct even a modern high school in NWP?? 32. UPND chaps are too tribal. They scare me.Even if they want HH to rule their thinking is about tribe and control of govt institutions.Indeed they need to change otherwise they’ll cause chaos to other tribes in Zambia. How i Pray that these chaps can stop thinking about tribe.Too much inferiority complex in them.Even in companies other tribes suffer just becoz they come from other regions. Can we stop this tribalism in UPND camp.So scared what these chaps talk abount. Same UPND chaps said they’ll never eat roads today they want roads. Please stay the way u’re since u don’t eat road.We told u that roads are important but u refused.I can’t be used by this tribe party.

  33. Lets call a spade a spade. Uyu musebo kwena bane is terrible. Its not only Kaondes who use this road. We also have families working in Solwezi and from time to time we want to visit them. What scares me is that these people are now saying that the only way we can be take seriously is if we do something crazy. I have live with Kaondes myself, these guys are not as humble and docile as Zambians think. Let us not push them to the wall. They will do some so crazy and Zambia will never be the same again. Remember, most Kaondes find it difficult to find jobs in Zambia and have opted to immigrate to other countries.

  34. @Kanungwe. You are 100% correct. But is it fair that the same tribe and others from the same region, NWP, to face such neglect because they are what they are being perceived in the society, even when they are the biggest contributors to the GDP?? Are they not human beings like other people from some tribes that want to be superior at all costs?? Who will tolerate this and for how long??? Education and good infrastructures are taken to other provinces, our children are learning under the trees and when we find comfort to vote for HH, we are labelled tribalists and inferior (moscow above). Remember, the biggest sin in the eyes of God is not even murder or adultery, it is PRIDE. It is the same pride that made God to dethrone the Angel Lucifer and cast him into hell fire. Your pride is…

    • There are a lot other more meaningful places to find comfort than ‘to vote for HH’. You have mentioned God in your post and I would urge you to seriously consider finding comfort in Him.

You are looking for comfort in wrong places…!

  35. Your pride is fertilized by your conscious that it is you who deserve to rule for ever and when others say,” Let us share the executive leadership of nation’, You jump with tribalism stories. Yet it is you who are the worst TRIBALIST in this country and Worst HATERS of other tribes. Christian nation. What a fallacy deserving God’s anger.

  36. i think its unfair for people of N/W province to claim that they are tired of fake promises as if they believed at one point the pf promises to be real. they new that they are fake promises thats why they voted for HH. but why complaining when you didnt believe in their manifesto

    • @upnd….well put it my man. People of NWP start with believing in the PF’s manifesto then you’ll definitely see change, otherwise dream on and stay underdeveloped until kingdom come

  37. @upnd. People from NWP, don’t need to be served with PF Manifesto as if they are in a restaurant where they need a food menu in order to choose what one should eat or order. State Leadership should be driven by the ability of the leaders to know and understand the comparative advantages of all the provinces and Marshall these advantages into developing infrastructures that support economic growth for the benefit of all. If the PF manifesto includes and validates stealing of resources from NWP to build universities in other provinces then it is good to reject it even in 2021. Leave our resources to develop our province and stay with your useless manifesto.

  38. PF gvt under Lungu leadership is a failed state. Solwezi Chingola road is a scandal that PF administration should admit.

  39. You sell your mines for $25m a resource that you own. Then you keep plundering with impunity. Then expect people to vote for you. Especially when you were told we have no vision, or we are carrying on the legacy of MCS. Then you vote for the ‘Humble one’ and now your country is supposedly broke and the IMF are your ‘bestie’. I can see why WP is stubborn, best to keep the natural resource than have it looted! Ignorance is not bliss, and docility will bring Zambia to its knees. Forefathers must be looking on to see what a mess this is. We are free really? Gosh disheartening especially when you hear the stories from our parents, grandparents. Zambia is now a shadow of what it once was.

  40. How come countries emerging from civil strife, hurricanes, earthquakes and genocide leap-fog our peaceful Zambia at every turn? As I see it, our suffering points to lack of selfless leaders among politicians. Instead, all we see around us is a plethora of political hoodlums masquerading as leaders. While citizens of earthquake prone countries endure all manner of destruction, year -in year out, it is we the citizens of a peaceful and blessed nation that lead lives of destitution. What irony! To my mind, we daily suffer deprivation because the heads of our ‘leaders’ are full of earthquakes, hurricanes, and all – and a head that harbors such destructive forces spells more doom to a nation than the tsunami of Japan or Indonesia. We all have a solemn duty to search for true leaders among us…

    • @Chalo Nkhanza

First time u have posted sense simply cos this road in/directly affects. Its not only so called “Namazais’ who live in NWP? Which road do u think these monkey-eating migrants from NER use since they hav flooded Solwezi like bees? Ur puninshing all Zambians.

To concur with u why should Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Angola M/bique, Egypt, Libya, Uganda etc hav better roads when they hav passed thu wars & dictators?

Rwanda & Uganda hav had no minerals till recently! Useless Zambian leaders!

    • @Chalo Nkhanza

First time u have posted sense simply cos this road in/directly affects u. U cud hav relatives there. Its not only so called “Namazais’ who live in NWP? Which road do u think these monkey-eating migrants from NER use since they hav flooded Solwezi like bees? Ur punishing all Zambians.

To concur with u why should Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Angola M/bique, Egypt, Libya, Uganda etc hav better roads when they hav passed thu wars & dictators?

Rwanda & Uganda hav had no minerals till recently! Useless Zambian leaders!

  41. Calling people outside NWP economic refugees is not fair. Just know that there are hundreds of “your people ” farming in Luapula Province and they are appreciated for their contribution. How come Mines haven’t been able to fullfill their labor requirements from among the locals? Dr Sondashi tried this but it backfired as people from other provinces started to boycott the province because of his “insults ” against outsiders.

  42. North western is a small area but its people are so tribal like dundumwezi even the bible says that you reap what you sow please tell HH to construct that road his the person with your vote.

  43. Kalusa walked from Chingola to Solwezi a couple years ago to protest the poor state of the road. Now he will need a boat from Chingola to Solwezi. But as a minister I guess he will just fly in a helicopter, after all he is well looked after by Edgar.

  44. You black people have no consciousness, you blame the whites for racism, but look at how you openly talk against humble people of God in this manner!

    You are worse than Do**gs.

PF has committed economic genocide here! Where is the Shi**t motto of One Zambia BafiK**Ala?

  45. you see how painful it is when neglected without first Quantum what would the poor N/westerns you do we need to understand. They say umwana ushenda atasha ba nyina. What the PF government has worked in other provinces is difference to what you may think in your area.

  46. Oh what a bunch of fools, can’t you see that the road is in that state because it is being worked on? Has this road never been tarred? I have used this road up to Mwinilunga it was a nice road, it got damaged and it is being worked by a listening President why complain when in other places nothing is being done, *****ic under five morons. Even where there is no issue you create one, rubbish.

  47. Comment:In Zambia we only have one president n that is MR ECL. He deserves respect from all Zambian regardless of our political affiliation/tribal lines. No PF/UPND but zambians. Ing’ombe shilelya Imbwa shilebosa

  48. 5 years mandate people, let’s give this government is one to prove to us if they’re worth our time. . And that photo doesn’t depict the current state of the road

    • They have already had SIX YEARS! AND 10 BILLION DOLLARS! How much time do they need?

These thieves have failed. Leopards do not change their spots.

Even if we gave them 100 years the result would be be the same.

  49. Problem they cling much to wrong ideas, beliefs and people for a very long time ukushalila atishani?? Kwenda na time master when rain stops ni dust and you dress like one from the kalahari desert sorry but kukosafye….

  50. This is heartbreaking to note that people are neglected in this way. How much will they ask for government to know that they are also human beings, deserving to enjoy the benefits that others are enjoying.?? It makes me to believe now that the resentments expressed by my cousins from WP, (the Lozi), are very genuine. They foresaw that the so called independence of Zambia was just a replacement of white colonialism with black domination of the arrogant and evil minded and non remorseful NER labour migrant settlers. We have ourselves to blame anyway for accepting the deceitful tactics of these people. They will never be accommodative and appreciate the leadership of other tribes. If they refuse to support a Tonga who is more indigenous and very brilliant, what next?? 1911 borders is the…

  51. what next?? 1911 borders is the only answer now. We need to fight for the restoration of the federation boundaries. The Americans failed to convince the Lozis to open up their oil and gas resources. The oppenheimer family of De Beers, were told to leave the Diamond resources in that area. The British Monarch through Cecil Rhodes, were told to settle elsewhere and conduct mining outside the lozi territory. No wonder South Africa honoured King Lewanika, That King was too intelligent for any government. VIVA my cousins, protect the resources from the thieves.

  52. The people in Zambia hava been criticizing PF government saying zambians cannot eat roads. UPND what has changed for people to start eating roads. PF did mongu kalabo a political road. People started vandalizing the same road when it was declared of had won. PF do the road people of zambia juge you and people of NW. We don’t want another mutanda chavuma issue

  53. Ba upnd and their tricks. U are second class class citizens. Where were u 45 years ago when KK was building the roads. You are stupid people who were saying u cant eat roads. Ask the sata**nist hh to to construct the road for u. THAT ROAD IS UNDER PHASE THREE MEANING UNTIL HH WINS ELECTIONS. As long as u continue to be tribal the pf will also be tribal. Muleumfwa insoni ba chief. U voted for upnd but today u want pf to do the road. WAIT UNTIL HH BECOMES PRESIDENT PLEASE.

  54. @ Truth and Henry, how is HH going to build the roads did he not say that when he wins is going to stop construction of roads and our friends in NW, Southern and Western agreed with him so why cry now when they know quite ok that they can not eat roads.

  55. These solwezi people are just too stubborn. They are reaping what they have been sowing. Are they not the same people who were used to Boo a sitting President?

  56. Blacks aweh sure….it’s the case of one monkey laughing at another monkey’s bum. No part of zambia is developed. Those who think certain regions are developed need not travel far out of this country. Its embarrassing to return home to this little bush via our ka little airport. I always get a reverse cultural shock when I arrive in zambia.

  57. Despite the massive PF roads construction they still had to rig to balance up the votes even winning in six or seven provinces could not help things. This is how bad things are. This is what pains PF. This time they won’t done any appeasing jobs anywhere;they already know they will still loose at votes. So they are out to mess up and come 2021 rig again.
