2016 top hitman Sikaonga seeks better 2017 fortunes with Roan

Roan United striker Lyson Sikaonga has reflected on his scoring prowess that saw him net 26 goals in the just ended 2016 FAZ Division 1 Zone 2 campaign.

The 26 goals helped Sikaonga to emerge top scorer in Division 1 Zone 2.

The ex-Nchanga Rangers forward said he worked extra hard to accomplish his target of scoring 26 goals this season.

“This season I worked extra hard. I used to wake up early in the morning to go for personal training before going for team training,” Sikaonga said.

“Next season, I want to work even harder and score more goals,” he said.

Sikaonga believes Roan performed well this season despite missing out on promotion to the Super Division.

Stylish finished second on the Division One Zone Two table with 54 points from 30 matches played.

“This season we performed well even the coaches put in the best. I am sure next season we can win promotion,” Sikaonga noted.
