Ex-Chipolopolo trainer Honour Janza is seeking to restore glory days at 2004 champions Red Arrows after being unveiled as head coach at the weekend.

Janza is elated to bounce back into coaching after signing a two-year deal at Nkoloma Stadium.

“I take it has an honour. My humble appreciation to the commander (Zambia Air Force) himself for the trust and confidence shown in me,” Janza said.

“I take it with full hands, I am here to help my country. Many people wanted me to go outside. I want excellence in whatever I do.”

Arrows have not enjoyed a top two finish since 2011 when they finished second.

They finished 7th last season and picked up their last piece of silverware in 2013 when they lifted the Barclays Cup before finishing 4th in the league that same term.

“I will be here to try to bring the happiness and the joy to everybody around here,” Janza said.

He added:”If we bring glory and good results it will help the fans for Red Arrows and employees to be happy.”

Janza is being assisted by Chisi Mbewe and Songwe Chalwe as first and second assistant respectively while kalililo Kakonje is still goalkeeper coach.
