Ex-Zanaco striker Rotson Kilambe has tipped the Bankers to win their first CAF Champions League match against APR of Rwanda on February 11 if they are to excel in the competition.
Zanaco welcomes APR in the first leg tie of the preliminary round in Lusaka before the return leg set for Kigali seven days later..
Kilambe described Zanaco’s home tie as a must win encounter.
He is confident the Super Division champions would shine in the continental competition.
“They must win because they will be at home. Winning the home match will help them to move to the next round,” Kilambe said.
The former Chipolopolo striker said Zanaco should emulate Zesco United’s exploits in the 2016 Champions League.
Zesco were losing semifinalists in last season’s campaign.
“I am expecting Zanaco to work hard like Zesco United did last season.
They should also reach the semifinal, the final or even win and bring the cup to Zambia,” Kilambe said.
He added:”They have a good team that can help them go far.”
