From its inception in 2014,the new Local authority has been renting a building from the defunct MUZAMA Company.
The council has also given ZESCO 1.7 Hectares of Land, where the Power Utility Company intends to Construct a Sub Station and supporting Structures.
Mr Chikula said all these Projects are aimed at changing the face of Manyinga as a District and a hub of development.
The development has excited Stakeholders in the District.
Manyinga Stakeholders Association Chairman Patrick Kamboyi said that when the local authority is functional it means development is near.
He added that the people of Manyinga have been advocating for development and they are now happy that their cry has been answered.
Where is this town?
Are you Zambian Mwisho?
IF A JOURNALIST WROTE A STORY IN THE PAPER ABOUT A TOWN AND PEOPLE ARE STILL ASKING THE WHEREABOUTS OF SUCH A TOWN, THEN JUST KNOW THAT THE JOURNALIST IS A VERY USELESS ONE. BECAUSE, INFORMING PEOPLE ABOUT THE WHEREABOUTS OF THE PLACE HE/SHE IS WRITING ABOUT IS JUST ONE OF THE BASICS. I AM ALSO ASKING WHERE IS THIS TOWN. BY THE WAY I HAVEN’T READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE.
how can you not know 6 months after elections. this is one place I remember along side dundumweezi that did what should not happen in a free and fair election. based in north western province, Manyika is one of the new districts that has received un appreciated lion’s share of the Zambian cake. please am just joking.
@Honest: It appears you also do not know the place, there is no such place as. Manyinka. This is Manyinga previously on Kabompo district of North western province. By the way is it the responsibility of a local authority to build a National Assembly office?
