Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo
Minister of Home Affairs Stephen Kampyongo has warned that the law will not spare any person linked to death of 20-year-old Stephen Kalipa who was stabbed by suspected UPND cadre in Lusaka’s Kanyama Township on Sunday.

Mr. Kampyongo says Government will not allow unruly political party cadres to take the law in to their hands.

The Home Affairs Minister was speaking when he visited the funeral house in Lusaka’s Kanyama Township this afternoon.

Mark Ziligone has details in the following report.

Meanwhile, Police in Lusaka have charged the 14 people apprehended over the weekend, in connection with fracas in Kanyama compound, after a failed UPND public rally.

Police Spokesperson, Esther Katongo has confirmed that the suspects have been charged with conduct likely to breach peace.

Ms Katongo has explained that the suspects, all of who have been detained, will appear in court soon.

She was speaking to ZNBC news in a telephone interview.

    • Well HH will go to TRUMP again.

What a tool the man is HH.

Only someone mentally handicapped would support UPND who have no pedigree leading a country of Zambia’s stature

      Thanks

    • Is Kapyongo using office where Mainza Chona used to sit? Even KK will be shocked to learn that Zambia has suck to deep to have a Kapyongo to run such ministry.

    • Lingu has created lawlessness in the ycountry and he’s to blame for the anarchy. I have never known a President who was so out of control. He was not ready to this enormous task.

    • Why is Kampyongo feeding us with this kak if he knows its UPND who killed this guy. Go on & arrest them or stop these statements that are political nonsense.

    • HH likes the law to work for him, to give him his ‘rights’ and help him achieve his agenda.

So HH recognises the law and wants to follow it when it brings him benefit.

But HH breaks the same law with impunity, and does not recognise it as law when it calls for his responsibility.

HH knows that failure to recognise legally instituted government and a sitting president is a crime with regard to Zambian law, but he breaks that law.

HH knows that disrespect for judges and belittling of the same is contemptuous, but he insults the ConCourt judges, and any judge who rules against his ‘sovereign’ desire.

HH insults such judges, calling them all manner of names such as thugs, thieves, corrupt, Lungu puppets, criminals, etc.

    • Contd..

HH calls on citizens to rise and fight government, telling them to shed blood for their ‘rights’, and the said ‘rights’ means HH becoming president.

This is the person who aspires to lead this country, who believes law is law when it favours him and it is no law if it called for his responsibility oor favours other citizens.

Other than prepare a country that would respect the rule of law, which he would want to see if he became president (if that ever happened) he is busy creating a culture of disobedience and anarchy.

I have said time and again here that HH and the UPND do things in utter reverse.

For example, the use of preliminaries as delay tactic, but against themselves – who can understand that? not even themselves.

    • Look, let us not pretend here.

We all know the HH presidency is a failed project.

Don’t think that losing six times gives him enough experience to win. No, no, no!

Thinking like that would imply that wining six times would give someone enough experience to lose.

Let us not always think in ‘Dununa Reverse’ manner.

Either UPND is happy with continued losing or they can change leadership.

Unless UPND wishes to hearing stories every five years, of saying ‘my win has been stolen in Lusaka. Maureen Mwanawasa found my 14,000 votes in a been’.

Keeping HH at the helm may turn UPND into a party that may phase out and be remembered only as a party that came close, but now extinct.

    • defending HH being at the helm of UPND is the greatest display of performing art skills.

Now, if his losses are making his supporters happy, I have no problem with that.

Whatever makes them happy I am okay with it..

It’s just that I want to think on behalf of his contenders, they must be feeling bored standing against the same loser.

It is the same as a heavyweight boxing champion who has beaten his opponent twice or thrice in a row, he will get frustrated as he would like to fight a challenger, not an obvious loser.

This I what I am saying, that if they get frustrated and complain that they need another person to fight with it is not because they fear but because they are bored of getting an obvious wins, due to a weak opponent.

    • Very interesting to read headlines such as:

“HH says Zambia’s democracy is heavily under threat as Police block UPND News Conference”

Meanwhile he goes to his Secretariat and his cadres begin to beat up journalists.

So, who is killing democracy – the police whore are making efforts to ensure law and order, or HH whose cadres are beating up innocent citizens?

I think this is why the international community ignores this man.

HH fails to understand that he is insulting the very international community he wishes to get support from.

When you tell the international community that you have won the election which they themselves monitored and saw that you lost, you are insulting their intellect.

I have always observed reverse thinking when it comes to upnd.

    • I hope this can be investigated forever like we know investigations into Kaizer are still ongoing despite the video footage telling it all. A joke of leaders we have!

  1. This guy is a dull f00l . We all know that the PF Police were sent there to disrupt freedom of association by any means. They went there in full force and attacked UPND members. It is very silly to try and make sane zambians believe that UPND cadres who were being stopped from excercsing their human rights would then suddenly turn against their own and stab him. Had the man stabbed being a police officer then maybe that would have been a tale that is believable. Look you pf monkeys, you claim that UPND cannot have its rallies due to lack of manpower or security threats. But what is amazing is that as soon as UPND attempts to hold the rally you magically have enough manpower to kill a human being. SO why not use this manpower and let the rallies go ahead? Logic will show you that it…

    • continued: Logic will show you that it rquires less effort to manage a rally that has been granted than stopping one by force. This man’s blood is on lungu’s hands and i swear lungu will not live to see next election. he has cursed himself and entire pf leadership

  2. A senior officer and very close to the president is an extremely violent thug with a string of criminal misdeeds yet he roams free.

    • Is your response implying that those who murdered Kalipa should not face the law because a known thug is free?

  3. UPND and PF are holding ordinary Zambians at random. By the time people realize this fact, we will be set 20 years backwards.

  4. Ine PF is the one holding ordinary Zambians at random. PF is using our country’s police like its there own. PF cadres matched to LAZ offices and wanted to force there way into the stadium and many more actions with not even one person in jail. I never knew how powerful our police is until UPND decide to hold a meeting. PF needs to be fair and allow everyone to exercise their right to assemble, other your PF is going to kill more and more people because of there greed for power.

    • @ 6.1 Kapoko,

And you where do you stand on the same scale you are using?

I am sure you have not measured yourself otherwise results will amaze you. Of course that is if you scale is working properly.

  5. And the killers of the ZAF officer are roaming freely in Police Uniform and this thug Kampyongo thinks that we are as brainless ashis *****ic boss, (ECL) – Edgar Corrupt Lungu!

  6. HH likes the law to work for him, to give him his ‘rights’ and help him achieve his agenda.

    • Edjiot!! No one here reads your sh!t anymore. Give your self a break and make good use of your time. The long craps you type have no substance.

  11. The blame squarely lies with PF compromised police. If UPND rally was allowed to go ahead there would have been no loss of life. Clearly the police showed they had the capacity and resources to provide security looking at the way they turned out to prevent a peaceful rally.
Instead of issuing threats Kapyongo should self introspect and come with ways of preventing loss of life in future.

  12. @ Peace for Zambia, I rarely reply to people’s posts but your repeatedly statement is rather irritating to say the least. if you have nothing to say, don’t take up space for nothing, let those with real issues contribute. I may not be a supporter of UPND but if only you can look beyond your nose, you will realize that HH is one of the fine sons this country has produced. you will never get to achieve half what HH has been able to accomplish. Take a careful look at those people you are supporting blindly and see how rich they are becoming by the day. In this life, never write off anyone, who knew ECL would be president. There were people like you who said Sata would never be president and yet today they are enjoying from the man’s hard work.

    • Online space is almost unlimited when you consider text data.

So why worry about space, you need to have technology education.

I wish you could understand. And you don’t want to read the same staff why not skip.

It is like driving to work every past a certain tree which you don’t like, but each time you pass there you park and look at it and complain how bad it looks.

Why stop there? I assure you that that tree will be there till you retire. So who will continue to be bothered, the tree or you?

And if it is mukula tree, forget because they have even put up a ban so no one will cut it. You will have learn to happily live with it, or if you would want to adapt, then endure.

  13. Take a good look at this fuss:
    1. Parliament Dissolved but Ministers continue to chew Tax Payers’ Money and will probably never pay back.
    2. Margret Mwanakatwe & Nkandu Luwo OWE CEEC Billlions yet they are awarded with Cabinet portfolios
    3. The same individuals’ seats are nullified yet they are still celebrated PF ‘MINISTERS.
    4. An Election is said to be won be the Chief Justice and Deputy Chief Justice will not swear-in the ‘winner’ but that ceremony is carried out by the Registrar of Courts in their presence!
    5. Chama shoots an innocent Zambian in Southern Province to death, yet He is appointed to Defend his sins!
    6. Mwila Encourages unlawful capture of land by Cadres yet He is only advised not to announce to the Nation what is supposed to be PF’s closely guarded secret!
    7…

  14. 7. Kampyongo attempted to down a Helicopter carrying very prominent, credible and well respected leaders in Shiwangandu yet He was Rewarded with a Portfolio that would Gag the mouths of those wishing to raise the issue
    8. Kaizer Choppered His way to ECZ heavily Armed to the TEETH, threatened Security there and Got the ‘MAGIC BALL’ to swing the results in his side’s favor and despite his Suspected ‘Criminal Activities’ He is the TOP ADVISOR or should we say detractor to the ‘Head of State’.
    9. Christopher Mvunga, the cousin and drinking mate of Chief Mpezeni clowns around the Presidency, not knowing what good advice would come out of his head apart from short sighted solutions to emerging complications
    10. Amos chanda has the Audacity to threaten the Judiciary against making any…

  15. favorable Judgements in any UPND cases and is the ‘BLUE-EYED-BOY of the ‘HOS’.
    11. An MTN IT expert is silenced in Cold Blood and the suspect found with his car is set free without questioning and the issue does not bother PF at all!
    12. ‘ANIMAL FARM” is clearly becoming a Norm as Two Ethnic groups share the abundant Resources the Country needs to guard jealously for all Zambians presently and for the future generations.
He who has ears, let him hear and make an honest and wise decision. Those supporting for the sake of tribe are they sure poverty is only hitting those of the other tribes? Zambia is now the laughing stock – A figure or object of ridicule and laughter. All because ‘We let the Monkeys and Rats invade our Maize and Groundnut fields’. What a shame to even imagine…

  16. Zambia is now the laughing stock – A figure or object of ridicule and laughter. All because ‘We let the Monkeys and Rats invade our Maize and Groundnut fields’. What a shame to even imagine you can make Zambia Proud!

  17. Useless minister sending Patriotic police to kill an innocent boy just because he went to attend a upnd rally. Blood is on your hands Kapyongo whatever your name if called shame upon you. Politics of hate when we are all Zambian citizens. Zambia is not only PF.

  18. Trump will come and sort out the killers once HH finishes talking to him. And once Trump settles down in office he wants to hear from fat albert how many court cases him and Pastor pole pole are facing and the evidence of the 14000 stuffed ballots. Then he will approach HHs percieved Hyena

  19. Who is such a fool to believe that a UPND member would kill his fellow UPND supporter?
Only foolish people from PF would believe that.

  20. Mr Kampyonga God our lord is watching you don’t think you are clever the panga will come back to you and your off springs

  21. A word of advice to Mr Kampyo. This murder, Chibulo’s and many others squarely lie on you Sir. You allowed for this to happen and don’t blame it on the public. The blood of these people is crying out for justice from their cold graves. Your face never showed any emotion when you visited the funeral house because you were feeling very guilty that your stopping that assembly instead caused a loss of life! God will punish you people for what you are doing.

    • Was this young man killed by the Police or some cadres who belong to the UPeND? HH should stop these satanic sacrifices!!

  22. So being Home affairs minister means issuing threats all the time, this Stephen Kapolyo a.k
a Kampyongo has really grown big headed and must be tamed
The powers that be must consider replacing him with a more mature person. It is hypocritical to go to the funeral house with a known thug Kennedy kamba who had earlier issued threats against the UPND. These chaps can fool the gullible but time for reckoning shall surely come. The blood of the stabbed youth is clearly on kamba and Kapolyo aka Kampyongo!!
