President Edgar Lungu has directed that no Minister or PF members should comment on the ongoing case of UPND leader Haikande Hichilema without guidance from State House or relevant Ministries.
And President Lungu said that only Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba will handle issues that are of interest to diplomats accredited to Zambia.
He says it is important to restrict the number of people commenting on the issue because it is a judicial case which should be left entirely to the judiciary.
The Head of State said this through his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda.
He also said that any Minister who wants to comment on the matter should seek guidance from the Minister of Information and Broadcasting or State House.
President Lungu has also directed that Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo is mandated to comment on the security matters of the country.
He added that all statements should be cleared by state house, ministries of information, foreign affairs and home affairs.
