Lubinda calls for recreation centers in all wards in his area

Given Lubinda

Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda has directed all councilors in his constituency to ensure recreation centers are established in their respective wards.

.
ZANIS reports that Mr. Lubinda says there is need for people to engage in constant physical activities that can contribute to the wellbeing and avoid getting sick easily.

The Kabwata Member of Parliament has also advised parents and guardians in his constituency to encourage their children to actively participate in recreation activities to keep healthy.

Mr. Lubinda said this in Lusaka today when led members of his constituency into a match past and a wellness exercise as part of this year’s commemoration of the National Health Week.

Last Tuesday, President Edgar Lungu launched the National Health Week aimed at promoting healthy living among citizens.

And Mr. Lubinda disclosed that part of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) will go towards the establishment of recreation centers in Kabwata constituency.

Mr. Lubinda further implored residents of Kabwata constituency to take advantage of the development by adopting lifestyles that promote good health.

  1. Hon Lubinda, call for the tarring of Vumbwe Rd in Chilenje, near Chris Corner. This is the only street road in Chilenje which is not tarred. Thank you!

  2. Very good idea. Our local areas should provide socialising centres. It’s party of being community.

  3. Recreation centers for games. Not for drinking alcohol and watching English soccer as happens now.

  4. THE CALL IS LONG OVERDUE. THESE ARE THINGS ZAMBIA COMPLETELY FORGETS. AND AGAIN THE MINISTER FORGOT TO CALL FOR OPEN SPACES (GREEN PARKS) IN ALL CONSTITUENCIES. PARKS ARE A VERY IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF TOWNS. IT IS SHOCKING ZAMBIA HAS GOT NO PARKS IN TOWNS. CURRENT AND FUTURE TOWN PLANNING MUST INCLUDE AT LEAST FIVE PARKS IN EACH CONSTITUENCY. THESE ARE THE MINISTERS WHO VISIT OVERSEAS JUST TO GO AND ENJOY PARKS THERE. THEY CAN’T BRING THE SAME IDEAS TO ZAMBIA. MIND YOU TOWN PARKS ARE PART OF RECREATION AND TOURISM.
