Sports Kansanshi stay top of Div 1 Zone 2

Promotion chasing Kasanshi Dynamos stayed top of the FAZ Division 1 Zone 2 table for the second week running following a 1-0 win over FQM Roads during the Week 11 matches played over the weekend.

A first half strike by Samuel Chiteta moved Kansanshi to 24 points after 11 matches played.

The Solwezi club is two points above second placed Kitwe United who edged Kalulushi Modern Stars 1-0 away at Independence Stadium on Sunday.

Striker Rodgers Mukenge scored for the Buchi Boys who sits on 22 points.

ZNS Lwamfumu remained third on the table despite a 3-0 thumping suffered at Roan United in Luanshya on Saturday.

Luapula outfit Lwamfumu have posted 18 points from 11 matches played.

On the other hand, this was Roan’s only third win of the season.

Chileshe Musonda, Perry Sinkala and Kamara Kamara were the scorers for Roan who remained stuck in 9th place despite the big win.

Roan sits on 14 points after playing 11 matches.

In Zone 1, leaders National Assembly’s 10-match unbeaten run ended when they were stunned 1-0 by Paramilitary in the Lusaka derby.

The Parliamentarians still top the table on 26 points from 11 matches played.

Zone 3 leaders Kabwe Youth Academy opened an 11-point lead at the top after overcoming Intersport Youth 1-0 to increase their tally to 29 points after 12 matches played.

Elsewhere in Zone 4, Livingstone Pirates are the new leaders after silencing Chikuni Coops 1-0 to move to 21 points after 11 matches played.
