The Patriotic Front (PF) has deployed its Election Committee to North-Western Province to conduct party elections for Mumfumbwe and Manyinga Districts, respectively.
The team is led by Elections Committee vice Chairperson Lazarous Chota and Committee Secretary Alfred Mwanza, and accompanied by North-western Province Chairperson Emmanuel Chihili.
The party elections for the two districts will be conducted at Section, Branch, Ward, Constituency and District levels.
The Secretary General of the Party Davies Mwila has therefore called on the Party structures to cooperate with the Elections Committee for the election outcomes to serve the key objectives of the Patriotic Front in North-Western Province.
Mr. Mwila says that elections are key to reaffirming PF’s intra-Party democracy and position the Party in the Province to become an attractive vehicle which residents in North-Western Province would wish to be identified with.
He said contrary to other Political parties which are not in the democratic habit of holding regular intra-party elections. He has insisted that PF remains Zambia’s most democratic political organization having been to the Party’s convention before the January 2015 Presidential by-election. Patriotic Front has announced its next General Conference to be held in 2020.
The Secretary General is confident that the vibrant structures are a strong conveyor belt for development adding that North-Western Province is ready to buy into the ruling party’s development agenda.
He has further stated that contrary the Opposition’s beliefs, political fortunes in the Province will soon swing in the direction of the ruling Party.
