FAZ Super Division side Nchanga Rangers have backed interim coach Evans Sakala.

Nchanga Chairman Yoram Kapai say the club is not in a hurry to hire a permanent coach after the recent dismissal of experienced trainer Bruce Mwape.

Sakala is unbeaten in the four matches he has been incharge since replacing his former boss Mwape.

He has recorded four draws.

“At the moment we are not in a hurry to recruit a coach. We need to support Evans Sakala,” Kapai said.

“We have given Evans Sakala all the support. Depending on his performance we will make the right decision,” he said.

Kapai insisted that Nchanga have a team that can compete favourably in the elite league.

“We have the players and the skills we just need the technical bench to continue installing that confidence in the team.I am sure the sky is the limit,” he said.

Nchanga are 16th on the table with 16 points after 17 matches played.

  1. Mr Kapai just admit that you have no money to hire a good coach.Nchanga Rangers and my team “Sharp Razor” Konkola Blades are poorly sponsored by KCM!!look, even Konkola Blades fired head coach Linos Silwamba a week ago and has end up with the assistant coaches Mujembe as Mr Milambo (former players) because Blades cannot afford a good coach or very talented players.KCM’s sponsored teams are in great financial problems!!this has been the major problem since KCM bought the mines from ZCCM!!PLEASE PRESIDENT EDGAR LUNGU HELP THESE ONCE VERY STRONG TEAMS BY URGING KCM OWNER TO SPONSOR THESE TWO TEAMS PROPERLY!!Nchanga Rangers and Konkola Blades need proper funding from KCM the way Mopani copper mines sponsor nkana fc and mufulira wanderers or even better because KCM is a very big company!!
