Former First Lady Christine Kaseba has arrived in Johannesburg South Africa where she is representing First Lady Esther Lungu at the 11th stop cervical, breast and prostate cancer in Africa conference.

Speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in South Africa, Dr. Kaseba thanked President Edgar Lungu and the first lady for giving her the opportunity to represent the country at this important conference.

Dr. Kaseba explained that the conference is an important platform for Zambia to move forward in strengthening the public private partnerships in resource mobilization for the implementation of the cancer strategic plan.

She said this is also a great opportunity for Zambia to showcase the results the country has achieved from awareness to implementation which have possibilities of attracting more resource mobilization in the roll out of the national programme.

And Ministry of Health Director Cancer Control and National Coordinator Cancer Services Kennedy Lishimpi said Zambia will showcase her progress as prioritized in the National cancer control strategic plan.

The 11th Stop Cervical, breast and prostate cancer in Africa conference is expected to be attended by first ladies from different African countries, representatives, technocrats and will be officially opened tomorrow by South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma.

  1. We still love you mama Dr Kaseba. Work with PF and ECL a humble president. Don’t be in communion with upndonkeys. Keep it up Dr.

    • Idyote why not just put your 4 comments into one, ooh i forgot politics about numbers, and y just keep on generating comments under different names, yikes! That sucks.

  2. Good move by ECL and the first lady to engage Dr. Kaseba, considering her previous involvement in this cause.

  4. Inspiring Woman. work with the government of the day to contribute to the development of Zambia. Your career is medicine and not politics , your husband was a politician but not you.

    • Makes sense she must consider herself still useful to the Ministry of Health and avail her services without partisan considerations after all she is a professional! Nothing stops her from being re-employed by the ministry to lead a normal post state house life for she had moved in there only as a spouse of one that had been elected president! Same for Maureen Mwanawasa private law firm, Vera Chiluba some NGO for mothers or something and, Thandiwe Banda she too can be of use in the Ministry of Education since none of the NGO’s they ran under State House umbrella continue existing after their husbands vacate office!

    • You cannot compare Dr Kaseba to Mwanawasa. She is far more intelligent! Dr Kaseba’s qualifications are superior. She saves lives!

  5. Remember when I wrote to question the whereabouts of the former first ladies? Now this is the good thinking on the part of the President who has beaten the bullet and allowed the person who once was “associated” with the opposite forces to represent the country at this high level meeting. You cannot be more democratic than the President has demonstrated. Dr Kaseba did so much when she was serving as first lady and please do not allow the efforts to go to waste.

  6. @ Professor James: My brother, please never harbor hatred in your life. Why call some people as donkeys? I always warn people that there is some one in heaven watching your stubbornness and insults. Just send your messages humbly and advice where necessary. Mama Kaseba is very educated lady who all of us admire her work and God bless her indeed. Therefore Mr. Professor if at all you are, Professors are humble people with respect. Read Proverbs 3:

  7. do what you need to do mama and when you return to zambia consider to continue working with the PF, this is the best working and thinking Government since zambia gained its independence and the originator was your husband.i believe as a wife to the late the best thing you can do is to continue your husbands legacy by contributing to his party as we aim to create a Dubai in our country… zambia the new Dubai..I’m transcendent and approve this message

  8. Lungu didn’t want to send his wife because the Conference will be opened by Jacob Zuma. Zuma loves zambian women.

  9. Speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in South Africa, Dr. Kaseba thanked President Edgar Lungu and the first lady for giving her the opportunity to represent the country at this important conference.
Dont thank anyone. Just represent the nation. Thats how you create arrogant dictators

    • No no, you are offside. She is right because that trip was meant for first ladies. But Esther choose to give way for Kaseba hence the reason for her to thank the fisrt lady for her gesture..

Why you think she should not thank anyOne???

  10. Please Zambians, let learn to respect each other, insults does not pay therefore, we are same people no different from each other we are all in a same image no one is special, we should respect each other, don’t call your friends donkeys.

  11. FOR THE FIRST TIME ZAMBIAN CAN SAY YES TO THIS STATE ACTION. APPOINT THE RIGHT PEOPLE FOR THE GOOD SERVICES FOR ZAMBIAN
