United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema has been nominated as a recipient of this year’s Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation was established in 1958 by Theodor Heuss, the first president of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom acknowledges individuals who have made an extraordinary contribution to the cause of freedom in Africa.
Hichilema was arrested without cause and detained without trial in filthy cells for 157 days by the Zambian government under President Edgar Lungu.
He was released without a charge after the regime failed to to prove any charge against him.
WoW, I knew it that this HH will land big big in this world.
He also deserved at 53rd Independence day award.
After his Zambian presidency, he will take over UN Secretary General, with no opposition.
