Kitwe United vow to stay top on final promotion lap

Share

Kitwe United captain Moses Lolozi says Chingalika will strive to stay top of the FAZ Division 1 Zone 2 in a bid to secure promotion.

With two matches left to play in the season, Kitwe top Zone 2 with 56 points from 28 matches played.

Kitwe are tied with Kansanshi on 56 points but top the table on better goal difference.

“The league is still on as you know we are remaining with two games. We have to work extra hard and remain focused,” Lolozi said.

Kitwe will tackle FQM Roads at home in Kitwe on Sunday before wrapping up the campaign with an away match against Zesco Luapula in Mansa.

“We just have to maintain our stay at the top. This is the only chance we have to win promotion,” he said.

Lolozi added:”Kitwe has stayed in Division One for almost 11 years so this is our time to bounce back to the Super Division.”

The Buchi Boys last tested Super Division action in 2006.
