“ I want to inform the people Siavonga that the decision to arrest them has been reversed, and they are free, and no need for them to fear,” Mr Kanyama said..

Mr Kanyama said the preventive measures that have been put in place have yielded positive results as the spread of Cholera to the area has reduced.

The DC has since urged Siavonga residents to minimize their movements, wash hands after using toilets and also to avoid eating prepared food from streets.

He noted that the Health inspectors will on Monday and Tuesday visit and all the banned trading places to review the possibilities of reopening the ones which have improved the sanitation.

  1. The DC, Lungu and his Ministers should be arrested instead!
I knew it, I just knew it. I knew Prayer would be the next. Listen to this headline from another new sources: ‘Fight against Cholera goes spiritual as Minister declares prayer, fasting’. And the story goes: “Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Reverend Godfridah Sumaili has announced a one-week prayer and fasting period beginning Monday, January 15 to Monday January 22, 2018 to “kick out Cholera from the Land”.
HOW ABOUT STOPPING TO STEAL AND BUYING MEDICINES AND FUNDING THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT TO CLEAN THE TOWNS AND CITIES? Godfridah GO AWAY

  2. People should not be fooled again. Rains are predicted to start around mid-month, which is just a few days from today. It’s unfortunate that some uninformed people will link the onset of sustained rainfall to proposed prayers. It’s a scam by shameless politicians!
