Power Dynamos fail to go 2nd after draw

Power Dynamos on Friday failed to go second on the FAZ Super Division table following a 1-1 home draw with Green Eagles at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

Kelvin Kaindu’s side stay put at number four on 23 points, tied with 3rd placed Zanaco while second placed Zesco United and leaders Green Buffaloes have 25 and 27 points respectively heading into their weekend Week 13 games.

Eagles dominated the first half in which Power failed to muster a shot on goal.

Gift Wamundila put Eagles ahead in the 17th minute when he headed in Collins Mulenga free kick to give the visitors a 1-0 halftime lead.

Power snatched the equalizer in the 85thminute through Godfrey Ngwenya after the home side pinned Eagles in their own half after dominating the second period.

The draw was Power’s fourth in their last four games in which they have won one game.

  1. I still miss fordson kabole. When is this draw night mare going to leave us. Past two seasons power has fewer losses but more draws than the league champions. Someone to correct me
