Nkwazi host Nkana in battle for 3rd place

Share

The battle for third place on the 2018 FAZ Super Division table heats up this Saturday when Nkana visits Nkwazi at Edwin Emboela Stadium in Lusaka.

Nkana and Nkwazi are 4th and 3rd on 27 and 26 points respectively heading into Week 16.

The 12-time champions are unbeaten away in the league this season with five victories and one draw on the road.

Nkana’s away form is in contrast to that at home in Kitwe where they have won only three out of their last eight games not including last weekend’s abandoned game in which they were leading 3-2 against Red Arrows deep into stoppage time.

The FAZ Disciplinary Committee has yet to decide on the final outcome of that match.

Meanwhile, Nkwazi are enjoying a good run since Chris Kaunda took charge in mid-April winning six of their last nine games and their only loss came three matches ago when Lusaka Dynamos beat them 2-1 in a Lusaka derby on May 20.

But whoever wins will have no effect on the top two status where Zesco United have 35 points and Green Buffaloes have 34 ahead of their respective fixtures on Sunday.
