Suspected Patriotic Front cadres dressed in party regalia last evening allegedly attacked the woodlands home of UPND mayoral candidate Kangwa Chileshe but were thwarted by alert party vigilantes.
The attackers who threw all kind of missiles at the house however fled the scene when his security detail from the UPND repelled the attack carried out by the youths who had come with several vehicles.
Mr. Chileshe who has confirmed the attack said his wife and children were in the house at the time of the attack but were unhurt though traumatized.
And UPND Chairperson for mobilization Sylvia Masebo who rushed to the scene reported the matter to woodlands police station who she said are investigating the matter.
Ms. Masebo has condemned the attack describing it as primitive and cowardly but said the UPND and Mr. Chileshe were now more resolved and determined to fight for what is right and what is just.
But Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo in a statement said Woodlands Police have not received any report suggesting that Mr Chileshe was attacked last night.
Mrs. Katongo said the only report received by the station was from Ms. Masebo who reported that they had spotted four Land cruisers moving around on Burma Road near a house where the UPND were distributing their campaign materials and that they suspected the same people to be members of the pf.
She says police officers rushed to the same area and did not find anyone.
Mrs. Katongo says if Mr Kangwa was attacked, police should be informed on where the matter was reported.

Many vehicles are said to have ferried PF cadres to go and attack UPND Mayoral candidate. Surprisingly,not a single vehicle’s registration number has been disclosed.What about broken windows,injured persons like some members of the Security detail at the Pastor’s house.How many buckets of stones were harvested by Police at the scene of the attack.Can UPND please help answer these concerns including the fact that NO report was made to Police.
Very interesting, UPND has tricks up its sleep. The issue here is that PF do not have to fight for mayor position. It’s in PF favor for Lusaka. UPND is there just to accuse PF and find excuses. UPND you are going for defeat. Don’t make up stories. A bad carpenter blames his tools. I rest my case.

PF is tired of winning. UPND is tired of losing. PF has no reason to attack UPND. UPND has every reason to save face and need an excuse for their anticipated loss. If at all it took place, there is every possibility that this was a planned WATERMELON blitz that lasted long enough for people to see and identify the PF green over the UPND red. Stop reporting such nonsense and give us real news, like when next the President will travel out to woo more investment, so that critics can have something to talk about, lest they become irrelevant.

Iliko tricky iyi. Remember that the Upnd leadership has been urging it’s members to go for Panga for Panga formula. Knowing Upnd one cannot put it beyond them. And don’t for Kambwili is capable of anything. Don’t get me wrong it could be PF but the first ones are more possible.
PF are winning this seat even without campaigning HH and GBM are running scared of being tossed out of UPND leadership. They lost in Chilanga with a Jezzebel, and now they are trying a wolf in sheep’s clothing pastor for the mayoral seat. Even their own cadres don’t believe them.
