Buffaloes battle to close gap on Zesco United

Green Buffaloes on Saturday visit Zanaco seeking a win that will help them cut Zesco United’s lead at the top of the FAZ Super Division.

Zesco, who leads with 70 points – six ahead of second placed Buffaloes, will only play their Week 33 match on Sunday against Kitwe United at home in Ndola.

The Zanaco-Buffaloes Lusaka derby set for Sunset Stadium kicks off at 15h00.

The Bankers are fifth on the table with 56 points from 32 matches played.

In other games, Power Dynamos will be searching for their first win in six matches when they host New Monze Swallows in Kitwe on Saturday.

Power have just picked one point from the last five matches in which they have lost four times.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Power’s Kitwe archrivals Nkana wants to return to winning ways as they host Nakambala Leopards at home in Kitwe.

Third placed Nkana, who have 62 points from 32 matches, are coming from a frustrating 0-0 draw at Kitwe United.

Fourteenth placed Nakambala coached by ex-Nkana coach Patrick Phiri drew their last match against National Assembly.
