The Zambia State Insurance Corporation (ZSIC Life) has rehabilitated part of infrastructure and made donations of exercise books to Musakanya Combined School in Mpika District of Muchinga Province worth K4,500.

In a speech read on His behalf by the District Social Welfare Officer, Mpika District Commissioner Moses Katebe said today that the gesture by ZSIC Life Mpika will go a long way towards the delivery of quality education.

Mr. Katebe commended the branch for responding to the Presidential call of keeping Zambia clean and healthy by painting the hostel for learners and administration block.

He said ZSIC Life is one of the cooperating partners that has helped Musakanya Combined school through rehabilitations and donations adding that this will go a long way in improving the learning environment for children with hearing impairment.

Mr. Katebe further said that Musakanya School has had many challenges one of them being inadequate accommodation and has since called on other companies and community members to emulate what ZSIC Life has done.

Meanwhile, ZSIC Life Mpika Production Sales Supervisor, Steven Malekani said a total of K4,500 was spent on the painting of the buildings and purchasing of books for the school.

Mr. Malekani said the company is celebrating 50 years of its existence since it was established in 1968 hence the need to give back to the community by recognizing and helping the less privileged.
