Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo has called for partnerships between Chinese Investors and local people in the province to enable Zambians to benefit from their natural resources.
The Minister said partnerships between investors and local people will be key in ensuring that Zambians not only participate in economic development but also benefit from investments and their natural resources.
Mr. Lusambo was speaking when a delegation of Chinese Investors paid a courtesy call on him at his Office today. The investors have expressed interest to set up businesses in Chongwe districts among them a car assembling plant.
“China has developed to where it is today because it has policies which are supported by its people and the business community. We want also to develop our country and in our quest to do so, we need investors that will support out policies”. Mr. Lusambo has said.
He emphasised that partnerships between investors and the local people will be key in achieving sustainable development in the country.
And Mr. Lusambo has urged the Investors to respect the traditional Leadership in Chongwe District if they are to work in harmony as they actualise their investments in the area.
“Zambians are very friendly people but do not provoke them because you will not like them, they will support and protect your investments if your respect them” he added.

Prof Lumumba is not a principled person. Ask any Kenyan and they will confirm this. He blows the trumpet of who pays him loudly. He is a good orator and uses his oratory skills to earn a living, that is also. The best the Zambia govt can do is to make sure that foreigners partner with local pipo.The kwacha is losing value bcoz 90% of shops are owned by indians or chinese.Meaning the chaps just buy dollas everyday and send dollas to their own countries.Its better Zambians start exporting power where it can make a lot of money.As long as investors are allowed to trade in Zambia Zambian economy would shrink.Let the governmnet come up with laws so that 80% of investors money is kept in the country.The shopping malls being built by chinese pipo would make the kwacha lose more value.All chinese goods will be sold in Zambia and the kwacha will be converted into dollas.At the moment we have a lot of chinese and indians keeping dollas.Don’t allow such investment if they can’t bank with local banks.

I am beginning to really like Bowman Lusambo, his rise from call boy to Lusaka Province Minister is admirable and he should be used a motivation symbol for all. He is like a Michael Sata, little education but very effective. If he wasn’t an MMD traitor ECL should have considered him as a possible successor because only Bowman would shield ECL from the many court cases ECL will have to deal with after leaving office. The Kampyongos will betray ECL.

Our locals cannot afford basic needs.. the best you can do is promote Chinese nationals.. if you love the nation as you claim, start from implementing measures that were introduced by KK.. one zambia one nation..
