WEEKEND SCORECARD: Bilton Musonda stands in for Chambeshi in U23 qualifier

Chipolopolo U23 assistant coach Bilton Musonda will oversee Zambia’s 2019 U23 AFCON first leg away qualifying match against Malawi on March 20 in Beston Chambeshi’s absence.

Chambeshi will miss the first leg tie due to pressing club obligations this weekend away in Sudan where Nkana play Al Hilal in a crucial top -two on CAF Confederation Cup Group C final game.

But Chambeshi will be available for the final leg on March 24 in Lusaka after Nkana wraps up its Group C obligations.

Also missing the U23 qualifier due to continental commitments will be Nkana midfielder Harrison Musonda but defender Moses Nyondo has been released for the Malawi match following the return of Richard Ocran and Musa Mohammed from two-match suspension’s.

Nkana lead Group C on 9 points , one more than Al Hilal and need a draw or for Zesco United to beat Asante Kotoko in Ndola this Sunday for them to secure their quarterfinal place.

Kotoko and Zesco have 6 and 4 points respectively.

Meanwhile,Zambia U23 arrived in Johannesburg on Monday evening for a ten day training camp in transit to Malawi.
