Green Eagles wallop Nkana in Wusakile

Share

Green Eagles on Wednesday rallied to thump Nkana 4-1 in Kitwe in the delayed match to open up a four point lead at the top of Stream B of the 2019 FAZ Super Division.

The win in this Week 6 match pushed Eagles to 27 points, four ahead of second placed Buildcon, after playing 13 matches.

Amity Shamenda grabbed a brace with Kennedy Musonda and Lazarous Phiri scoring the other goals for Eagles.

Nkana had made a false start when Hassan Ramadhani put them ahead after 36 minutes when benefiting from a rebound caused by Ronald Kampamba.

The two teams went into the break with a 1-1 score line before Eagles scored three times in the last half.

Other second half highlights saw Nkana’s two goals cancelled for alleged offside.

Midfielder Shadrick Malambo had his 52nd minute goal ruled out by Kabwe referee Wise Musaka and Sate Sate too had a late goal cancelled for offside.

This incident saw the match officials leave Nkana Stadium several minutes after the game as they feared for their lives.

Meanwhile, Nkana remain stuck in 7th place with 12 points from nine matches played.

Kalampa now remain with four unplayed matches.

    • No one should underrate Green Eagles, their jersey, their player fitiness their coach Aggrey… Everything about Green Eagles represents how a National Team can be. Not forgetting discipline. Count how many yellow and red cards they have accumulated.
I started following that team last year, when I came to understand that they ZNS team.
      That is a National Team.

  1. Beaton and the Executive have failed us. There is no one to blame but themselves especially that they have received maximum support from sponsors and stakeholders. There is no option for executive and technical bench than to quit in the stakeholders/community/supporters and sponsors interest. The recent past performance in continental and local league is testimony enough for their exit or else calamity will befall the wusakile team. To the supporters lets not involve ourselves in violence because football fraternity will not differentiate us and the failures who are technical bench and executive.

  2. This is the most imbalanced Kalampa team I have seen in ages coupled with poor technical abilities by the coaching bench led by ba Beston “Quick Silver” Chambeshi. I think the need to be showed the exit door and usher in a better technical bench to begin processes of stabilising the team before it is too late.

  3. Beston Chambeshi does not take games seriously. Look at this stage, he even features Joseph Musonda! Imagine? The continental appearance was a shame. The players could not withstand the supporters pressure when they play and this led to conceding early and many goals. By the time the stabilize, can`t even make an impact. Like someone has mentioned, the Coaches need to go back to school so that they start to understand the metrics of football.
