Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba people has been honoured with a doctorate degree in recognition of his works and writings torwards a better Zambia by the Western New Mexico University(WNMU).
At the graduation ceremony held at WNMU in USA , Silver City, in New Mexico, His Royal Highness Chitimukulu Kanyanta Manga II was conferred with a doctorate degree in recognition of his work in Zambia and in particular the Northern Region.
Western New Mexico University is a public university located in Silver City, in the U.S. state of New Mexico. It has served the people of the state and its surrounding areas as a comprehensive, regional, rural, public coeducational university since 1893 and caters to a student body diverse in age, culture, language and ethnic background
In 2018, Western New Mexico University President Dr. Joseph Shepard and His Majesty Chitimukulu Sosala Kanyanta Manga II, the king of Zambia’s largest ethnic group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the intention of exploring the possibility of bringing higher education opportunities to the Bemba people both online and in face-to-face classes.
After months of discussion, President Shepard, WNMU Board of Regents Chairperson Jerry Walz and Manga II signed the Memorandum of Understanding at a meeting in Albuquerque.

Why only ranked universities are offering these titles to our leaders? Dr Kambwili, Dr GBM? I have checked the world ranking for this University, nothing appears. U’S ranking only showing that it is ranked above 800.

Our great grandfather paramount chief Kanyanta Manga is turning his head in imilemba with total proud just as he achieved to stop tribal wars and concentrated to Unite the the bemba kingdom ensuring every chief, asked the other chiefs to share family members and settle in other parts of ulubemba.
Sharing has a potential of good influence, encouraging and it enriches those who practice it. Keep up Kanyanta Manga.

At least this was done at graduation ceremony and there was a receiving speech. Not ba CK, GBM, JK, theirs were done at hotels. No formal graduations just them.
