Police in Lusaka have charged and arrested Constable Fanwell Nyundu aged 25, a police officer with two counts of murder which occurred on 23rd December 2020 between1000 hours and 1300 hours in which a Prosecutor of National Prosecutions Authority, Nsama Nsama Chipyoka and also Joseph Kaunda were shot at and died.
Zambia Police Service Spokesperson Esther Katongo has confirmed in a statement.
“The suspect is in police custody and yet to appear in Court.”

Very dull. How many months or years do the USA Police train? Police course if you may Google has a number of departments specialized in several activities. Combined Police courses can take 12 years or more. The more reason there are in house courses. Some done abroad. Detection of crime course for example can take 4 years alone. Google on the Indiana Police University Academy in the USA. Initial Police courses are done within one year; including drug, immigration and customs excise law enforcement agencies. What is important is the truth found in the School Certificate achievement at Senior Secondary School level.

The information is lacking a lot of facts and it is somehow unprofessional to even announce the name of the suspect so early. While it is good that someone is being held responsible for the heinous crime, I hope this young man will be afforded a fair trial by the state and hopefully he is not just being sacrificed to protect the big fish.
After initially vehemently denying it was not police bcoz the officers only discharged teargas cannisters, the same mouth is now shamelessly announcing it was the police after all……justice needs to be done & swiftly.

Who gave this Constable the orders to shoot? Was the shooting random or targeted? Is it ZPS’ Policy to shoot and kill innocent and unarmed Civilians? Was Constable acting alone? This appears an inside job and planned in advance of the shootings. We wouldn’t be surprised if Constable Nyundu is just a Cover-up. To get to the truth an Inquest is required.

This is a set-up job. There is no way a lone Constable could have shot and killed Nsama Nsama and Joseph Kaunda at two seperate locations. Who allocated Cons Nyundu with a gun and ammunition and then ordered him to shoot and kill two people? The ZPS Command must be held accountable. Is their a Ballistic Report showing Nyundu shooting the two victims? It was said Nsama Nsama and Joseph Kaunda were collateral damage or pawns in a chess game. So who was the target? More questions than answers.

There has to be someone who was handling this constable. Had the shooting orders been issued by the senior officials, then how come only one constable opened fire and only two bullets? This is something beyond apprehension.

It is a bit difficult to believe that this constable killed them on his own. Nsama Nsama was at a restaurant buying breakfast when he was shot. The bullet hit him in the head, as if the shot was taken to kill him instantly. Joseph Kunda was killed among the people. Can anyone believe that this constable went to the restaurant, killed Nsama Nsama, came back and shot Joseph Kunda, who was protesting among the thousands of UPND cadres. This is a bit unbelievable. There are some missing links.
Let’s not jump to the conclusion as yet. Wait till the investigations are completed. More skeletons will tumble out of closet in days to come. Just wait and watch.
By this logic, Hakainde Hichilema should be the first person to turn in as witness. Within a couple of hours of the incident, he had claimed that it was a sniper who shot the two innocent men. Have you ever thought of this? Where did he get the information from? Why didn’t he tell the police about it in advance if he knew about it? Did he tell it after the incident? No. He preferred to make the claim, addressing his supporters! Wow!!
Can you please explain what interest of ruling party was served in the killing of Nsama Nsama? He was to prosecute HH. His killing would affect the case and help the accused, who is HH. The only beneficiary in this killing is Hakainde Hichilema. That is the motive for the murder. In my opinion, HH must have hired the constable to knock off Nsama Nsama Chipokya.

Police or solders act on instruction from above. Why has it taken long to give the answers to the nation? Was the police officer under threat when he was in a group of other officers?
